@cortezawwris Come on don't be like that. You don't have to believe in our church but don't write those things. Many people in this world, including people in Russia, want more out of life and know that there is more to this life and the life after and they find it in our church. Our missionaries have brought true happiness to so many people around the world and have given them hope and shared with them our Heavenly Fathers love for them.

Thanks you so much for this video and I can say I am seeing all this take place first hand as my oldest just returned from a mission in Russian and my 2nd son serving there now. Truly great things are happening in that great land!

In 1979 while on a mission in Tennessee a member of the ward in our area baptized and comfirmed his 8 year old son. He stated in the confirmation blessing that his son would one day serve in the USSR as it was known then. My companion and I thought he was crazy due to the state of affairs in 1979. As things have unfolded I recall that with wonderment and awe. The Lord is at the helm and his work goes forward. This is a great video and again reminded me of the great work we are in. Thanks

@Rasurusan IN August of 1973, while in Munich Gernany for a regional General Conference, President Lee gathered us missionaries together to teach us. During his address he stopped and said, "Brethren and Sisters, I feel impressed to tell you that in a very short time, and within most of your lifetimes, we will build a Temple behind the iron curtain, and that shortly thereafter, the wall will fall, and the Germanies will be reunited." So began the rise of the Church in Eastern Europe!

I'm currently awaiting my mission-calling which is to arrive any day now. It is not unlikely that I'll go to Russia to serve (considering their new VISA-rules and me living in Sweden). This vid has greatly enhanced my feelings for Russia and thus also my attitude towards possibly serving there.

Russia was a great Christian country. She is coming into her own in the post-Soviet era. Her people are intelligent, hard working with a rich history. They are a great part of the church's future.
