  • pause at 2:21...there is a ganesha statue!!!!

  • Interesting!

So how would you describe your experience with Indian culture and Indian people?

Do you identify Mahabharat (without that extra A) in your culture/society/country?

  • If someone is trying to make Hinduism look bad by altering some character, or even the character of lord Krishna, then I would say it's a pity. Because those people are actually trying to be ignorant when a knowledge is to be gained.

  • Careful, this movie is made by bitter haters..

"I need to review this movie.. watch it one more time.

They're trying to make Hinduism look bad by making Krishana look like Lucifer.

  • Ramayana and Mahabharata r the great Epic of India !! it is popular all over world!!

iam from India i know better, The MahaBharata was written by Mahrishi VedVyas who was great Scholar ,(Vedvyas was son of Maharishi Parasher who was a great Scientist and Astrologer at that time.) the time when this event took place, in ancinet India..

great Video i have seen from outside ..

    thanks....

  • Ah Mahabharata! I guess when you're Peter Brook, you can pluck the best actors, musicians, dancers, artists and such to create such a monumental tour de force. It is one of the most beautiful works of art, ever. All hail Mr. Brook for pulling it all together.

The story, of course, is a timeless world treasure, and few others could have pulled this off.

The sadhu is played by the great Athol Fugard, who also starred in Meetings with Remarkable Men, and is a formidable playwright.

  • Someone said that every possible human experience is expressed in the Mahabharata. I may not be ready to read 100,000 couplets but I'm glad I own the 3 part-6 hour Peter Brooks masterpiece. An incredible production with an outstanding international cast. If you want to enjoy something truly deep and inspirational, then I cannot emphasize enough for you to see this gem. It's a movie (stage production) and a meditation at the same time.

  • Thanks for sharing!
