Lee Michaels, he's just too much. He got me & my friends through those difficult late 1960s & I thank you Lee for that. I can picture us sittin' 'round my Mom's old entertainment thingy (you know with a TV, LP player & radio, big thing!) OR we'd do the big time & go over Julius' & listen to his record player with our head squeezed between 2 speakers. How COOL, we made our own head phones in a way. It was awesome!
@stevemin Of course he is still alive!! I just talked to him a couple days ago, he is doing just fine. He and his kids just opened up their new restaurant called Killer Shrimp... Tell all your friends in the LA area they must go there!
I agree this is a great post.....nice to find others who connect with Lee's music. Yes he's always been my favorite, too since 1969-70. Only heard/seen him live once in Cleveland about 1971 Keith Knudsen on drums. $5.50 each for front row seats. Lee was the final act and in my humble opinion the best.Taking the stage before he came on that night was the all girl group Fanny, Jo Jo Gunne, and the great B.B. King. What a show. I have all Lee's albums and they're all great. Thanks Cactus29121989.
Such a pity videos of Lee are so rare. What an incredible performer. Saw him in '71, around Barrel time: still the concert I measure others by. He and that Hammond could scream the roof off a place!!
@strobelightbeam It's the only one Ive been able to find. The only other one is him lip synching "Do you know what I mean", but it's a cool video too!!
I could watch this a million times...I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Mr. Lee Michaels.

Saw Lee at the Boston Tea Party in 1969 and was blown away --- a fan for life. Does anyone know if he's still alive? Can't seem to find any evidence!

You have the title of this song wrong.
It's called "No Part of It" from the "Recital" album
