By far my favorite accent of America. I absolutely hate southern accents and mid-western accents get annoying quick. Wish i had a new england accent :-(
@KPJ113 umm..no they are not the same. The boston accent rounds the vowels more than the jersey and the new york accent. The Jersey and New York accents are similar, but the boston's accent is very different. I am a native New Yorker.
@1135maude Not that different. Ever watch Jersey Shore? Most of them are from NY, not NJ and none of them pronounce their R's. "Let's go to the bahh" (bar), etc.
The only difference is NY/NJ'ers say "cawwffey" for coffee. Bostonians/Massachusetts says "coffee" for coffee.
