run the car for 5 tanks of fuel? no thats not in you will be fine if adjusted correctly to run through 4 tanks first tank id recommend you let her idle and seat in on half a tank then the other half you start going quarter throttle holding for 2 secsthen stop repeat that till the tanks dry. Then restart this process on tank 2 with a few revs to half throttle. A engine wont wear in properly if you just let it idle on 5 tanks of fuel you will go to take off it will bog down and you wont have power

five tank for this type of engine is not nessesorry, two will do then drive it around quarter throttle for 3rd tank then half throttle 3seconds and break repeat process on fourth tank, then full throttle on fith tank, don't for get to break after 5 seconds inbetween throttling...go in a circle like oval shape.

That is not the proper way to break in a motor. The motor will never get to temp and the parts will not seat.

I would not use this method. A) those settings are only for THAT engine, and you shouldn't tune before break in anyway. Next, NEVER run your engine without the air filter or throttle linkage attached like this guy. Finally, you are not breaking in your engine by letting it idle.  You need to apply throttle in graduated segments to heat the engine to sufficiently break it in. Repeat, I would not follow this guy's advice.

do not listen to this guy do not touch the any off the needle yet. u should only adjust the needle right after brake in then u adjust the needle to tune ur car. read read ur instrucation. Some or 3-4 tank like my hpi or some are 5 tank like traxxas or some even go all up to 8 tank of fuel. do what ever work for just read ur instrucation.

Put the vehicle on a stool where it will not move. Once after you run through two full tanks of gas you can start running it on the ground. Run it slow at first and slowly progress from there

As long as you don't stress the engine during the break in process its fine. 4-5 tank you can throttle it a big but never full throttle for too long, its like redlining your engine

Well, 5 tanks is recommended but you can try 2-3 tanks if you don't feel the need to waste fuel. You can slowly move the car around and rev its engine a little. Do not high rev the engine as it will lead to premature wear.
