The reason they dies was because that dumb fuck doctor left them to long in the sac! Think about it? What happens if you have your head in a sac and there is no oxygen? ?????? To long if you look or have experience with whelping you will see that the female dog will normally bite and rip the sac once they are out there is no oxygen so you immediately have to break it to let them breath!
OMG this vet is taking WAY too long. What the hell is wrong with this vet? C-sections need to be much faster -- getting the babies out of the sacks, rubbed and breathing.
no, the puppies are fine, as long as they are attatched to their placentas, and the placentas are attatched to their mother, there's no immediate danger to them.
that work was very slow and no anastetic was used .ifyou keep the puppies in the pacenta for eleven min.or more the pups will die. get a better vet.!!!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. As a breeder of show French Bulldogs I recommend you find another vet. Yours did not follow the correct protocol for anesthesia and took to long to get the puppies out. Her surgical skills were poor and slow.
Proper anesthesia, Speed and suctioning of the puppies airways after birth are key for survival. After birth these pups often require tube feeding to survive until the mother's milk comes in.
i was quite shocked to see that the dog received no anaesthetic via intubation! im a vet nurse & @ my practice (as well as all practices i know)they wud neva dream of performing this operation wivout intubation & anaesthetic! Also the operating room looked more like a reception due to there bein food shelves?
i thought the vet could have been quicker too when carrying out the op and the nurses/ppl helping wern't rubbing enough. ive never herd of so called 'suction' to get pups breathing though?
No intubation, and the vet isn't gowned! Obviously very different standards from North American veterinary practices. As a veterinarian (and owner of a Frenchie) I agree with beemeli--huge risk with this breed to be anaesthetized without intubation.
yes its treu, why have do the same whit or bulldog anglais. She have start naturel , but she was so tired that we have do olso e c-section to protect or bull bravo pour la video
Clearly, the last few seconds of this video show a scene that is in violation of internationally and legally established laws of cuteness. That Frenchie and her pup are WAY over the limit. The cute police are everywhere, looking for violators. I'm just glad I watched this with the blinds drawn.
I believe this to be a huge gamble with your dog's life. Any brachycephalic breed should be intubated while under anesthesia. The tube should not be removed until they are up and breathing and practically chewing on the tube to get it out. They have very small airways and with the pushed-in snouts, have a lot more palate to block the airway. In my opinion, it is very irresponsible of the vet to even consider not intubating.
Thanks for posting this very interesting, especially if you are interested in breederin I wish more people but these videos on to givr us potential breeders an idea of what to expect.
When the mother has pups naturally, when she is awake and aware, and she is cleaning the puppy, she cleans them well. She is rough and moving them around with her mouth and they get lots of stimulation like this. The lady who is supposed to be stimulating the puppy, rubbing him, is doing it so gently but she should really be doing it more roughly. I watched my frenchie do this so don't be scared to really rub them hard.
I am a dog lover and chihuahua breeder. I have a very good veterinarian but your video has given me the opertunity to see the c-section live. Thank-you it is very educational.

It's just a way for vets to make money. If they can't breed and give birth naturally the breed should be allowed to die out. This is cruel/

wheres all the other puppies?
Star2000s 3 years ago
They all died, we tried very hard but it didn't help.
1 we had to put to sleep because he had an cleft palate. 1 was born dead. 1 was very little, he made it just for 1 day.
the last one we kept alive for 9 days, but he wouldn't crow. he died 9 days later.
we where very hurt by this, and we wil never try to get other puppies.

Just out of curiousity why did you dog get a C section? (this isnt to be rude I'm just wondering)
MizzezKimberlie 3 years ago
most french bulldogs are to narow to give natural birth. To aviod complications and to protect our dog, we dicided to do a c-section.

So why did you need a C-section? Why couln't she do a natural birth.
Rainalot 4 years ago
most French Bulldogs are to small to give natural birth. To save are dog, we did a c-section
sanderrijkes 4 years ago
SO THEY CANT HAVE THEN NATURALLY?
RUDO56 4 years ago
French bulldogs have narrow pelvic... and b/c the puppies heads are large, most of the time the mother dog can't give natural birth to them.
