does it get cold down there or do they supply heating? All our stations are outdoors and they provide substandard small heating units that don't do crap....
I have been here.. then in the exits my ticket didnt work so i passed the ticket gate with other people... in the entrance and exit in many station... once i get stuke....
i have to change trains there next week im coming from golders green on the northern line and have to transfer to the picadilly line going to russell square are the platforms close?
Oh, because the reason I am worried, is because I have heard that there are like, gangsters and weird people down there, who pick on people, and steal their valuables, that's why i am worried! lol
I have travelled at any time you can imagine. Rush hour, visiting around, night party, commute to the airport at dfferent times... And never I have felt uneasy!
@iron232 Yeah, it's not really like New York or Washington, D.C. where it can be a bit sketchy at times. London is pretty safe, actually. Just keep a close eye on your things - you don't believe how easy it is to get pick-pocketed.
i've been there lol, but i don't like how hot it gets down there, the only time it cools down is when the train approaches you and pushes all the air out of the tunnel.
wow the trains only just fit into the tunnels on the london subway... are they electric? and if so is the electicity on the tracks cuz theres no room for wires! haha.. im in Australia and the closest we have to this is Melbourne and Sydneys underground, but nothing in comparison to londons subways etc
Thanks for the note. I am one of the survivors from the 7/7 train that runs on this line that was bombed. I am pleased that you have remebered those that died in my carriage under the ground. I thank G-D that I survived. Bless you xx
one more question :) if i'm taking the Picadilly line from the Heathrow airport to Kings Cross station, after which station exactly do they announce the Kings X?
thank you! and could you also advise if i should purchase a travel card or an oyster card considering that i'm staying in london for a 2 days, but will be coming back for Christmas? (i know it is a very long question, but i'm a foreigner, going to travel to the UK for the first time....
Dear I have visited New York 2 times,, I really want to See London very much,,, Is London City More Beautiful and appealing than New York.... One thing i Love London is that there is a left hand side driving like India...
Please tell me Is London more beautiful than New York City ,, I wish to See London....... Especially Buckingham Palace.... I LOVE LONDON
10 times a week for the last 23 years during rush hour i've done this sh1t on this awful, overpriced, filthy, unbreathable, souless underground system where you are rammed in like cattle and usually have to wait 3 trains to get on one. Watching this is like having a nightmare.
Want to go one stop single? that will be £4.
Its disgusting. Only acceptable station is on the dockland route for the rich bankers comfortable commute.
I love it! Its a really friendly place! It must be with all those people together!
Seriously though, if i lived and worked in London, I would cycle there and back because, lets face it, London is flat; no hills to cycle up.
Just last week, i got off the overground at Highbury and accidentally went through the gates, which took the remained of my oyster card (silly me) - it cost £2.90 to go to KingsX from there in rush hour!
Well, a London commuter railway line generally covers 80-200 km (the double in crossrails, like Thameslink). Here in Stockholm they only cover about 75 km/line (from corner to corner, since all the lines are crosslines)(That is the Stockholm commuter rail). It's completely unfair.
Nice video, I got the Metropolitan Line from here to Upton Park today!

@iron232
Not at all!
I found it to be a very safe place.
Obviously, you have to mind your belongings and be alert of any suspicious person. That's all.

If you are back at Christams, then take the Oyster. You can pre-pay so you can top it up as you like it
