I know it's not easy and my live would probably have been much more fullfilled without it but isn't thinking that it has some positive effects as well the best way to cope with it? Me too. It's very hard for parents because most Aspies like me don't want to be stroken. That's why many parents think their children also don't need as much love. Or they just don't give that much love because they don't get so much in return.

For the disabiled? Why that? How did it occur in your case? In my case I was just learning enormously much stuff by hard and I was always structering things in very repetitive ways. Of course many people also called me an idiot but I was lucky as at least my parents believed in my mental capabilities. How does it come they put you into a disabiled class?

yes i am an aspie its not easy i have sensory issues and i dont like the eye thing,yes i talk alot about sience hamradio music...my sleep and eating patterns are a bit strange, and i can get depression whats easy about that..when i have a shutdown,or i forget did i take my pills or what day is it.......jef 48 and young..

I agree with this. Before I was diagnosed, I had been having a very hard time with life, especially socially, and I knew that... I guess I'm a little milder than you because I don't have such severe sensory problems (just things like hating certain food textures). It's not easy being an Aspie, especially when people hate on and bully one for having it (like is going on in the comments below), but I'm actually relieved to find out the reason for these problems, and I wouldn't want to change.
I'm sorry if my last sentence makes me sound like the things you hate about people, but although it's hard I really do appreciate that I'm different from everyone else. The main problem about autism is people who don't accept it for what it is, and instead make life hard for autistics just because they're different.

I find it amazing that your speech pattern is dead on for my aspie son... he has the same rise and fall like you do. It annoys me that people "see" normal and don't understand that inside... my son thinks differently. Even the teachers did their own "study" - refusing to acknowledge the psychiatrist's eval - and decided he is ADHD & ODD and so, they will not give him any help.

I find it amazing that your speech pattern is dead on for my aspie son... he has the same rise and fall like you do. It annoys me that people "see" normal and don't understand that inside... my son thinks differently. Even the teachers did their own "study" - refusing to acknowledge the psychiatrist's eval - and decided he is ADHD & ODD and so, they will not give him any help.

I have aspergers, it is pretty easy but the thing for me is i have a really mild case, i tend to obsess about one thing for awhile and then, also as a child i used to rock before i knew, also when i sleep without knowing i bang my head, (rocking without knowing it) and i dont really have troubles sociallly, i do a bit. like reading it.
