This past summer,we went down to Austin,Tx to protest against him making significant budget cuts in our schools,when we barely have enough money as it is !
Now hold on a sec...I stand behind the American Flag, I think reciting The Pledge of Allegiance in school is a great idea, but I also think that we shouldn't be attacked for who we are born to be.
I think standing behind the flag means offering up its opportunities for all of us, not picking and choosing based on the way we decide to interpret The Bible, or any other religious text. I wish more people would stand behind the flag in that way.

cool. i'm so glad the majority of our american society is like you. we need more people like yourself to represent us as a strong and free country, a country that is strong in bullshit and free to run around in it openly. Now hold on a sec...I stand behind the American Flag, I think reciting The Pledge of Allegiance in school is a great idea, but I also think that we shouldn't be attacked for who we are born to be.
I think standing behind the flag means offering up its opportunities for all of us, not picking and choosing based on the way we decide to interpret The Bible, or any other religious text. I wish more people would stand behind the flag in that way.

I just dont get why everyone is automatically offended the second someone says something about gays that isnt accepting of them...not everyone agrees with homosexuality and not everyone agrees with christianity but if gays and liberals can openly say stuff about christians then christians shouldnt be blasted the few times they speak up about things they dont believe in.

@AbbyClairee01 The difference is: gays and lesbians don't tell everyone they need to become gay, that our country is great because of gays, that anyone who is not gay is at best a doomed soul and at worst and enemy, and that the only good president is a gay president. If you want to speak your mind, go ahead, but if you want the freedom to live your life as you see fit, don't try to infringe on the ability of others to do so as well. Especially not as a campaign platform. Perry is a douche.

@AbbyClairee01 A person doesn't choose to be born as a homosexual, just like a person doesn't choose what race they are born with. Christianity,however, is an identity that a person can choose for themselves because it is not a trait they are born with,it is a belief,an idea.People can choose to accept or not accept Christianity or any other religion because it is an idea, and people are free to have their own opinions about ideas. Not accepting homosexuals, however, is prejudice.

@AbbyClairee01 the reason it's "not ok" to say something about gays is because they're targeting an immutable trait of an individual. that would be comparable to "I don't agree with black people." no person is "born" christian/catholic/who cares, but chooses to follow whatever they deem reputable. a choice is very easily condemnable. to condemn a trait is unacceptable and ignorant. did you remember choose your sexuality this morning? I didn't think so.
