  • @bassgeezer It's a montage video mate, I didnt have footage of the gig , only audio.

  • @anarchy41 oh ok

  • Zkriiiiiiieg bop!

  • I was at this gig as well, wonder if it was filmed at all.

Brilliant day apart from the sunstroke..

  • @bagwednesday Fantastic weekend!! There were lots of cameras there, so I suppose someone must have got footage. Lets hope it surfaces one day.

  • Yes it certainly was exciting, I was 17, I didn't have tickets but you could get up back of the Bowl into a field directly across from the stage we saw Michael Jackson Madonna Bon Jovi U2 to name a few but this was the greatest... Joey Ramone and Rat Scabies who could ask for more

  • I was there! Joe fuckin' Strummer was on the same bill! Roasting in the MK bowl!

  • I wonder if Joey was incredibly sick of this song by 1988. Don't get me wrong, i love the Ramones and all their songs but i've heard this song so many times i'll turn it down till its over.

  • this is amazing

  • I never knew about this link up its awesome

  • Excellent combination. The Captain also appeared on Joey Ramone's solo album doing back up vocals.

  • I was at this,we travelled down from Scotland..captain played the year before at finsbury park 10th birthday party..The Stranglers..Joe strummer..aztec camera..run rig..all the big chart bands snubed the gig...but played for Amnesty at wembley...when it was on telly says it all

  • This is great! I was there too. Think it was the first reunion of captain sensible. A scorching hot day watching so many legends.

  • Joey the master of punk eveer!

  • I was at this gig, I thought it was a long shot searching for a video of it but here it is albeit just the audio. Thanks for posting and bringing back some memories!

  • dear gott in himel, I wish I was there.... thx for posting this. the quality.. eh who cares. its brilliant. Briam James was smart and bailed out of the Damned before the 'puffy shirt' era.... could 've used some more pics of the Damned. but still , very nice.

  • Saw The Damned support The Ramones at Brixton Academy in 1991. One of the best gigs ever - two of the best live bands the world has ever seen on the same billing :-) Captain Sensible of course guested on Joeys' solo CD.

  • I was there and it was superb. Strummer was on that day too, with the Latino Rockabilly War. Big Audio Dynamite as well, though sadly no "Clash" reunion.

  • Ah, I remember that weekend.

  • Wow, that sounds great!

  • what year was that?

  • @ricardo25891263 it was 16/9/88 at Milton Keynes bowl. Amnesty International gig

  • @anarchy41

    I was there.

I remember the campsite was away from the venue and you had to get on an access bus. Did the Mutoid waste company set up a stage at the campsite? I took my first acid tab there that night.

  • What! surely that must be "help" or "needles n pins" !!!

  • Why did they have to pick the most cliche song to do?

  • love captain sensibles guitar tone

  • great vid..love the pix...thanks for posting
