@MaximumD2 thats not true at all, of course any big car (not just american) have stronger chassi but are too heavy. the smaller (medium sized) family sedans are the only ones that can get up to 60mph and handle well. They also often out last many american vehicles in destruction derbies. That's why they're used, they pick the mechanically strongest AND with good handling, which is often European Fords and Jaguars
