Notice how right after you lit up you needed a drink? It makes your mouth dry huh. Good for you! More power to you! You go girl! I quit a few years ago cold turkey. I haven't looked back since! I love life without them...Syd
I agree It is a strange behavior I often think about that to, I hate the nicotine gum to but they have tropical flavored gum that dosent burn as bad....Jami
I tried the Fruit flavour kind last time, but it still burned my throat. I thought about sticking the patches over my mouth and seeing how that worked out! :o)
Thanks Brian, old habits die hard I guess. The longer I kept smoking the harder it was going to be to quit. And it's so expensive now, I'd rather spend the money on shoes!
I am behind you all the way. I'd offer advice but it sounds like you know the drill. You did it before, let's hope this is the real deal.
Humans have always gotten by on a trial-and-error mentality. There was probably a fire in a tobacco field and the smell was appealing so early humans started experimenting.
I'm really committed to quitting this time, I don't want to end up as the subject of one of those 'Quit Now' advertising campaigns! The nail painting is due to be done again now, any colour suggestions?
Cheers Tipples. GLAD TO HEAR that you're giving up the ciggys too. GOOD FOR YOU. I'm sure you can do it - you have mutual support there to quit. I guess you know you'll feel ever so much better if you do. GOOD LUCK with it.
Be careful with grape addiction, they make you retain water, lol! Seriously, good luck, I've picked tomorrow as my quit date as well. We might as well all do it together, right? :-) Let me know how the hypnotherapy works for you, will you? My parents both tried it YEARS ago, didn't work for them, but I think that's because they thought it was a crock to begin with. GOOD LUCK!!! *hugs* ~Marissa
Hypnotherapy is supposed to be very effective to help stop smoking. It's one of the most effective therapies around. Hypnotherapy is more about positive reinforcement, and I hope you find great success. I'm sure Fonzy will be glad about the loss of 2nd hand smoke!
It was really good, I'll be posting a video about it soon. Fonzy was one of my main reasons for quitting, especially as Pugs are prone to breathing problems
Good for you Tips! I quit smoking oh, six or so years ago after a bout of a very bad flu. The smoke only made me feel worse. Eat popsicles ... or keep mints with you when you get the ciggy urge. Good luck! hugs, Chris

It was more of a habit to drink when I smoked. Things are going well though, my chest feels better already!

I'll leave the color up to you. I'd always suggest black.
