so at first my iphone firmware was the wrong ipsw then i selected just the 4.2 and it worked. but then it said wrong firmware for the ipad 3.2.2...ugh ive been trying to jailbreak/unlock this phone all day and this is the third technique ive tried!!

Thanks for getting back to me. Worked nicely for me!! Here is the solution from Crackersmg to the problem I posted before: "Hold down the Alt key and then click on restore, u should be able to choose your own made custom restore now."

@reffguy are you putting the iPhone in the iPhone firmware. Also, make sure your device is connected
