I have always said I like the TV Elena better than the books Elena for many many reasons.

Kevin Williamson really knows how to drag out the "will they, won't they?" romantic storyline (Dawson's Creek - Pacey and Joey anyone?)! Who will Elena choose in the end? She's always loved Stefan and he's great for her, but is he too boring (despite his 'ripper' stint)? Damon's exciting and hilarious, but is he better as just the show's good old bad boy? The love she learned to have for Damon, can that compete with the love she's always had for Stefan? You can tell I'm way too invested in VD.
This scene warms my heart yet pisses me off.....I love it bc well, its DELENA...I hate it bc i feel like the delena chapter ended right after this when it really should have started..the writers dangled a carrot in my face and ripped it away :/

I love so much this scene, DELENA is so epic. This is true love. I have always said I like the TV Elena better than the books Elena for many many reasons.
But thing that the book Elena is better at is actually admitting that she has feelings for Damon.. She finally stops fighting it.
Even if they do make Elena end up with Stefan (Lets hope not..) I hope the writers at the very least let Elena finally admit it to herself that she loves Damon, and that she says it out loud.

Kevin Williamson really knows how to drag out the "will they, won't they?" romantic storyline (Dawson's Creek - Pacey and Joey anyone?)! Who will Elena choose in the end? She's always loved Stefan and he's great for her, but is he too boring (despite his 'ripper' stint)? Damon's exciting and hilarious, but is he better as just the show's good old bad boy? The love she learned to have for Damon, can that compete with the love she's always had for Stefan? You can tell I'm way too invested in VD.
