@adrianmer666 Linkin Park never stood for nu metal, people put that on them. They stood for making music with no boundaries - shit that you can't just throw in a category. That doesn't mean rap/rock/scream, it means anything that they enjoy and sounds original. Minutes to Midnight may seem more alternative, but really, Hands Held High with rock like instrumentals, Shadow of a Day with a hiphop beat but on rock instruments. Everything is a hybrid, not just vocally.
I really love breaking the habit, but this is not so great

And please dont mention the name 'auto tune' ever again. It destroyed everything. There are few singers who don't need auto tune, and chester is one of them. Chester can hit all the notes perfectly without auto tune. He has auto tune in his voice already.

I don't know if you know what auto tune sounds like? It sounds robotic as hell, you can hear Ke$ha using auto tune ftw, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Drake etc etc. Real actual singers like Chester dont need that shit cause Chester has TALENT.
He doesn't use auto tune here. His singing is just really great.

@Traiannnn lol sorry i have to clarify, it's clearly auto-tuned, the autotune console it's not just a effect maker, it's for pitch correction, later people knew that going max in retune, tracking, & modules in the console they could achieve the robotic effect you said before, & AU can be used in concerts,everywere, i know u like Linkin Park But it's true. Every musician seeing this vid will think the same, so if u want to know more read some sound engineering books, Peace!

I know it's for pitch correction. If your singing sucks the auto tune also sucks and you will hear a kinda sound just like Ke$ha. Im not saying the robotic effects but like if your singing is false you will hear like that the auto tune cant handle it. Im not hearing that here.. And have you ever seen LP live? Like, for real?.

@ionnieboy no u sound like Ke$ha when u use auto-tune TO sound like that, u can download an autotune software & try. I don't like Linkin Park but as a musician i respect them, since i'm a vocalist, i like to hear singers reaching high notes, and Chester is very good, but it's clearly, CLEARLY autotuned, they don't use it almost never or never but they don't have a choice since this is AOL. It's not their fault. peace! XD

@DarkPhantomSky It's NOT auto-tuned..it's pure talent. You want auto-tune? go listen to T-pain and many other artist out there. This guy's vocal is just amazing along with Craig David, tyson from American reject etc.

but imagine if we never heard hybrid theory and linkin park started their career with the album minutes to midnight, i bet they won't have the success they had, the grammys, mtv mother awards, world's best band nominations, i'm a huge fan of LP, but minutes to midnight isn't the album that really defines who they are, from the beginning the goal is to put together 3 different genres of music into one sound and that music is undistinguishable and very cool, but today, it's lost

wow, i've never listened to any linkin park live. he has a really good voice live. you know how some bands sound bad live, cause they do stuff to make their recorded songs sound better? yeah, not the case here.

@adrianmer666 Linkin Park never stood for nu metal, people put that on them. They stood for making music with no boundaries - shit that you can't just throw in a category. That doesn't mean rap/rock/scream, it means anything that they enjoy and sounds original. Minutes to Midnight may seem more alternative, but really, Hands Held High with rock like instrumentals, Shadow of a Day with a hiphop beat but on rock instruments. Everything is a hybrid, not just vocally.
