@blugtar87 Garibaldi is house trained. He uses a bowl of water that I keep next to the toilet. They are very clean animals since they go swimming several times per day, but they do like to roll in the mud. To learn more about pet capybaras, please read my blog.

Such a beautiful animal!!! My husband and I have talked it over and done a TON of research on capy's and we are going to get one when we get to our new house in New Mexico. I just don't think it's fair to the capy to be stuck in the car for 3 days while we drive from Washington to New Mexico.

It's funny because they are really common in Brasil. Not as pets, though. And I'm not an Indian living in Amazon. My city has 2 million inhabitants and we have them in the parks, loose. They r big, cute and nice

@timmytams Maple probably does miss Caplin, the two of them got along very well. Garibaldi likes the rabbits but when he is bored or in a good mood, he will chase them around.

@timmytams We do sometimes entertain stalkers--I mean "visitors." Garibaldi is not yet able to travel out into public places although he should be up to it in a few more months. He has his first TV appearance on Texas A&M TV coming up, we are filming on Wednesday.
