i was up the burj khalifa last week. we entered it through dubai mall which is also a great place to spend a day or two.

the burj is an absolute stunning building. the US will never be building something like this.

the bottom section of this building is a hotel, the middle section is private apartments and the top is offices.

US is investing into stability in the world since it happens to be most powerful and responsible country. (im not Yank) What they both and all countries MUST do is to deal with climate change. I was there in August 2009, they had finished the height of the building but it hadnt opened. It doesnt actually look half as high as it is from up close, but when me and my family went into the desert the building was towering by more than double the other buildings. Im going back out there in October, so ill probably go inside it then. Cant wait.

Historically Dubai has been a commercial enterprise where goods are always in transit. Stuff has been going on along that coast for hundreds of years. Correction, they don't really know how to make money wellfor several reasons. Firstly, they are bust, what happened there? Secondly, the Dubai Sheik asked the Abu Dhabi Sheik for the money to build the Burj Dubai thus they changed the name from Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa in gratitude to the Abu Dhabi Sheik. Dubai believe it or not is a friendly country to visit. When the oil does run out they will easily survive. The current Emir is a forward thinker They knew lomg ago their oil was running out and started to build up tourism and business.
