It's very easy ---> Each line representing a string on the uke. So if the number in the taps is on the topmost line, you have to play the lowest string on your uke. And the lowest line in the taps is the topmost string on your uke...
Numbers are then placed on these lines to represent finger positions on the ukulele fret board.
To tab a chord the notes would be placed in a vertical line upon the horizontal ones.
