I said google "The Evidence That HIV Causes AIDS" by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious disease and review the boatload of information regarding HIV and role in AIDS. This source provides more than enough information to at least grab the attention of a rational skeptic. If you want to disagree with it, sure, but show where they are wrong and provide a counterargument that explains the observations described in the research.

The most part of people with HIV don't die at all, and most important they don't get AIDS. This is just a logical aspect that put AIDS and HIV in a completely different position than any other infectious desease. And it's a bit strange. The fact is that for years people didn't have the right to choose a cure or not. Sometimes this could be worst than any desease you can get.
@EnamaAsim ~There are some conditions with a very long latency-the original nasty is syphilis, whose 2nd stage may be up to 40 years (of course it is doing awful things in the interim); TB also can have a very long latency, after which it usually attacks organs.Auto immune disorders such as Lupus can do the same also, as well as ALS. Indeed Huntington's has a substantial latency also. HIV is not unique in that respect, but as you know, only syphilis and TB are contagious,( Malaria too.)
@pontecanis The causes of syphilis and TB are bacteria, lupus is an auto immune disorder, causes of ALS and Huntington are not known. HIV is a retrovirus. The test consists in the search for antibodies. When you find antibodies, it means that the body is eliminating the virus. AIDS is a group of diseases, but if you get one or more of these and you don't have HIV antibodies you are not considered a AIDS patient. This sound just strange to me, but everyone is free to think whatever he wants.

The most part of people with HIV don't die at all, and most important they don't get AIDS. This is just a logical aspect that put AIDS and HIV in a completely different position than any other infectious desease. And it's a bit strange. The fact is that for years people didn't have the right to choose a cure or not. Sometimes this could be worst than any desease you can get.

@EnamaAsim ~There are some conditions with a very long latency-the original nasty is syphilis, whose 2nd stage may be up to 40 years (of course it is doing awful things in the interim); TB also can have a very long latency, after which it usually attacks organs.Auto immune disorders such as Lupus can do the same also, as well as ALS. Indeed Huntington's has a substantial latency also. HIV is not unique in that respect, but as you know, only syphilis and TB are contagious,( Malaria too.)

@pontecanis The causes of syphilis and TB are bacteria, lupus is an auto immune disorder, causes of ALS and Huntington are not known. HIV is a retrovirus. The test consists in the search for antibodies. When you find antibodies, it means that the body is eliminating the virus. AIDS is a group of diseases, but if you get one or more of these and you don't have HIV antibodies you are not considered a AIDS patient. This sound just strange to me, but everyone is free to think whatever he wants.

IV drug use (sharing) and promiscuity certainly SPREAD HIV and AIDS, but are not the cause. There are excellent research results that show the denialists are full of it...

When you type "HIV AIDS" into the pubmed web site you get over 83000 references!
Many labs around the world have been working on HIV and AIDS for 25 years and there is not a single reputable immunologist who disagrees with the finding that HIV infects and kills CD4+ cells which leads to AIDS. that is proof enough for me.

Arguing with some early finding, in an early Gallo paper is irrelevant as the idea has been tested and followed up independently by so many top scientists it doesn't have any benefit to the debate.

This video is very old (1992) and out of date.
If a single Scientist found evidence contrary to HIV being the cause they would publish it , in a VERY impact journal. Many labs around the world have been working on HIV and AIDS for 25 years and there is not a single reputable immunologist who disagrees with the finding that HIV infects and kills CD4+ cells which leads to AIDS.

Gallo and Montagnier don't question that HIV causes AIDS. From their joint letter to Harper's: "The position of us both is that HIV is the essential and sufficient agent that causes AIDS. One of us (Luc Montagnier) has emphasized that there may be .... other factors that can favour HIV transmission .... and also promote faster progression toward the clinical stages of AIDS in untreated HIV infected people ... but this does not put into question that HIV alone is the cause of AIDS."
