what u can do is use a ds-2 and just turn the volume on ur guitar down to get a clean sound for the verse, and then when u strum turn up the volume a bit to get a bit of distortion

john admitted that in an interview it was from burning his house which he just made it out alive. he burnt it after the short film "stuff" johnny depp filmed, its believed john was scared of people coming to his house cause of the short film. also he admitted on one of my rhcp dvds that it was cause of the herion. aswell as anthony mentioning he couldn't inject properly.
