I'm 62, so I love both Vespa and Triumph Bonneville T100. Here in Brazil a Vespa GTS300 costs US$ 13,000 (the same price of a cool Bonnie). Well I prefer my red & white Bonneville T100...It's so traditional !
hey you should check out this website jbikes.ecrater.com , i got a good deal from them on a dirtbike, its not a brand name but it i drove it for about a year now with no problems :) -
@growingup2204 In Texas and some other states many people do not wear helmets. The police don't stop to check on your license, but if you are stopped for some other reason, you would have to show proof of ins., and your motorcycle license which is just a regular driver's license with a M in the upper left corner. Now if you are over 21 and not wearing a helmet, the policeman will ask to see proof of medical insurance. I guess about half wear helmets. Under 21, everyone has to wear helmets.
@dkw12002 in my country, everyone has to wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle, that really sucks because vespa's are really fashion and style, and helmet destroys that.
Hats off to Vespa for making this amazing bike. They have come a long way since the tiny displacement 50CC two strokes engines. I can't wait to see what they come up with next, maybe ABS?
My ride to work is an XJ900S, it's a solid reliable big bike, but I have to say my son's Vespa 125 GTS is probably more fun on short trips than the Divvy, and in some ways more practical too. I think all the Italian scoots are fun, but the Vespa's got a bit of style as well.
Vespa's are for people who can appreciate a peice of history rather than arrogent wealthy people as so described. We all have personal prefererence's and its not about the wealth but choice !!! I love my GTV and it has enough power .These Italian machines are built with pride and the quality is number one .Anything mechanical thats modified can improve and if you want speed you just have to spend the money just as so in a car......

the only reason I want to mod my transmission a bit is because it is a 50cc get it a 50cc. Now your Vespa has a larger engine so you can brag all you want. if you compare the 50cc vespa to the Yamaha C3 the C3 is a bit faster STOCK plus it is more of a value. plus the C3 has major storage capacity at 9 gallons. Vespa is overated it sucks.
What I find interesting is you think someone who loves their vespa and enjoys the handling of a steel body frame is an "arrogant little prep" who is "bragging."
Seems that you may have a bit of inferiority complex.
You love your yamaha - fantastic! I'm happy for you, everyone should enjoy their ride. Personally, I find the feel of plastic scoots to be unsettling.
You're the one that came on here name-calling; and if you hate Vespas so much, why even watch a video of one?

Yamaha Plastic??? My Yamaha C3 has a sturdy steel frame all throughout the entire scooter so plastic my ass!! "plastic scoots" where do you get off? I never said the Vespa was crap i just said they aren't worth the money. yamah's are just as good infact the STEEL frame C3 is wayy better than the 50cc Vespa.

In fact look up the Yamaha C3's stats it has a STEEL frame. The only thing plastic are the colored panels and the casing for the speedometer. The Yamaha C3 is 198 pounds of METAL.
You make a good case. I even looked it up, but .... I think I'll stick to being a , what was it? "arrogant wealthy little prep" with my beautiful classically designed Vespa that I saved up for. I don't think I could bring my self to ride something as ugly as that Yamaha C3.. not saying there's anything actually wrong with it. Its just ugly. hahaha, You understand, right?. Preference.

So you give me a petty weak thumbs down huh? What a fag. Hey nothing wrong with buying a vespa if that IS what you want. I just wanted to point out that there are good scooters out there with more value. The fact that u think vespa is BETTER makes u a snob THAT was my point so u have proven me right.

Vespa's are for arrogent wealthy little preps who are looking for more of a "fashion statement" rther than a scooter. For the prices of these things you could get quality japanese bikes with larger engines or hell buy a nice used car!! My 49cc Yamaha C3 goes 45 miles per hour stock after being broken in. It is fuel injected and liquid cooled with huge storage capacity and low seat height all for 2,100 dollars. After a few tranny upgrades from MRP and KS Power it can go 50mph.

vespas are designed for woman or transexuals, the front fairing is designed to prevent skirts blowing up.

I love Vespa but I hate it that the law forces us to install mirrors and wear helmet. It ruins the style and the fashion and the feeling.
