  • BS, all of it. They say what stupid people want to hear.

  • good info appreciate it

  • GOTCHA BITCH! I bet Palin will take full advantage of this new Health Care. She don't have to run to Canada no more. ahahahahahahahaahahahahahaahaha

    Thank You President Obama!

  • @jay1wo, don't worry, we'll borrow it from China

  • @jeangrey, LOSE WHAT?? I'm going to be forced to have it their way

  • Better then NO WAY AT ALL! which you and I both know is what would happen WHEN your no longer insured by your husband. Any meds? Look for a discount, but if your really against is, then when you turn 60........GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

  • "An All-American act?" Really Ms. Pelosi? Really? Congress disgusts me.

  • My friends, there's no way to sugar coat this. Last night's vote was a major set back - just one of many negative consequences of recent elections. Obama said recently that he was going to wear us down. The Democrats aren't done. Immigration "reform" is next. This is gut check time for conservatives.

  • After the House vote, President Obama said, "We proved that this government - a government of the people and by the people - still works for the people." But the American people didn't want this bill. The latest Rasmussen poll found that likely voters opposed it 41%-to-54%. In fact, there is not a single poll the president or congressional Democrats can point to in the past 60 days that shows public support for the legislation that passed last night.

  • @flowerchildca same with gay marriage, but that vote doesn't represent whats right does it?

  • Imigration "reform" is next.

  • HC for all ....

HC reform is incomplete without reform to the pharmaceutical companies too .... drugs r artificially expensive compare to neighboring countries.

  • If you don't get it, your fined!! WTF, .You mean it is now going to be against the law (what law?) if you don't get it? What if you can't pay the fine and who establishes how much the fine will be?.

  • @flowerchildca Your employer is fined! 2,000 dollars a year per employee.

  • Not for companies with less than 50 employees.

Also there will be "outs" for companies that can prove cost or implementation issues.

  • LOVE THAT! Thanks for the info.

  • The one thing I hate about this is the mandate. fuck that, I'm not going to buy anything that I don't want to and I don't need health insurance.

  • I agree you should not be mandated, but if you choose not to get insurance, then you should sign a waiver, so the rest of us don't have to pay for you when you get hurt or sick, we can just roll you in a gutter.

  • Looks like the behind door bribes worked. Obamanation is here. $250.00!!!! I have a prescription that costs twice that and thank God I have a good health plan at least for now. The government now has absolute control of our healthcare. Look at the VA, you sometimes wait 6 months to see a doctor depending on urgency, this is what we have to look forward to. Waiting in a doc office 4-5 hrs to see someone. WE ARE DOOMED.

  • @flowerchildca And because if this healthcare plan, if you lose it, you won't have to worry about being denied or paying full price for every illness you get. Have you talked to VA's? Talk to Jim, he'll tell you the facts chicken little lol.

  • The federal government can do anything it likes. At one point in history USA even owned slaves.

  • cuts the deficit 138 billion in 10 years. . . .with medicare 34 trillion in debt, we would pay it off in 2453 years!!! That ignores interest

  • Does the Constitution say that the federal government can force you to have health insurance? Does the Bill of Rights say that it is an American citizen's right to have health insurance? What about the Declaration of Independance? As far as I know it is NOT a right, it is an INDIVIDUAL'S CHOICE, period!! Once again, if it is so great, why is the ENTIRE U.S. CONGRESS, THE PRES. AND HIS FAMILY, LABOR UNIONS AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS EXEMPT? Anybody? I've read them several times and still don't see it.

  • Excellent! Now my son who works part time and goes to school part time can continue on our insurance! What a relief!

  • i dont want health care i havent been to a doctor in ten years AND IM FINE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheOpenmynded Your not fine, your lucky and choose to be ignorant. You may have something and don't even know it. If that's the way you want to live, then feel free to do so. Some of us want to know when we are sick so that we can get life saving treatment for things such as high blood pressure, cancer, etc. etc, etc. Even if we work hard and can't afford it.

  • @jeangrey65 OKAY SO WHAT YOUR SAYING IS THAT BECAUSE SOME AMERICANS WANTS HEALTH CARE AND CANT AFFORD IT. MEANS I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM TO GO TO THE DOCTORS EVERYTIME THEY HAVE A HANGNAIL!!!! THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR SAYING WE WILL BE PAYING FOR THIS HEALTH CARE YEARS BEFORE ANYONE SEES ANY BENEFITS SO YOU WILL HAVE LESS MONEY IN THE TIME BEING TO PAY YOUR DOCTORS. YOU NEED TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE TYRANNY!!!!! i do want to live without healthcare...but they passed the bill now i can't

  • @TheOpenmynded Like anyone is going to go to the hospital for a hangnail. Reaching much? What I'm saying is that I'd rather pay for students and those who are trying to work but can't effort treatment since we already pay for illegals and low lifes who refuse to work anyway. 'The sky is falling, the sky is falling" how much do you pay in taxes a year anyway?

  • Barrack Obama is a man of his word.

A real president who does what he says.

  • @SuperJordan691 If he is then why did he extend the Patriot Act, is still supporting nafta, and kept the same people in that caused the crash? He is a puppet of the fed reserve just like Bush and almost every other pres since Wilson left office. This hc bill helps the pharma and insurance companies more than anyone and we are already bankrupt as a country.SInce 1933 our presidents have had less control than the bank our country is in debt to and paying interest on those loans

  • It would seem to appear that way. However, he needs the two houses to really get all of that taken care of. None of it will be changed though.

  • revolt or shut up

  • So basically this HC reform does nothing to reform HC...

I like how no one worries about how much these two wars we are engaged in are costing us a month.

Im a vet of 3 deployments.

We have the most expensive HC, our Insurance companies had record profits and the US HC system ranks 37 in the world.

Where is our "change we can believe in"?

Forcing us to buy Insurance is hardly a "fix". Nothing here reforms the HC system which is esentually a "for profit" business.

  • they did nothing about cost lowering. all the money still goes to the insurance companies. its all a scam disguised as a political victory. their solution is to fine people that dont have any money? wtf?

  • @kargenlewis Even though I'm Not sure where you were going with the "republican Crap Below,,thought Most people were Over that Illusion, Your Comment Here is the Whole Point Most seem to miss. If You Don't Pay , then you Not Only get Fines, You Can Serve Up to 5 years in Prison. Aforced Pay off from the American People to the insurance Companies. And Stupid morons are Eating it Up.

  • A dark day for Americans. For the first time in history, Americans will be denied medications, tests, surgeries, etc. Only $5k coverage per year. You want to pay out of pocket? You can't. ObamaCare is shovel ready. The government will decide if you live or die! The IRS mafia will keep your tax refunds, withdraw from your bank account, and garnish your check, plus much more bad news. But there's good news, so far 38 states are fighting this unconstitutional legislation.

  • forced to get health care? WTF?

  • @onemanarmy34 Your forced to get car insurance.. its basically the same justification principle only stronger because sooner or later your body will break down and if you don't have insurance there is a 90% chance you wont be able to pay for it out of pocket. With a car there is no guarantee you will have an accident.

  • I'm okay with paying more taxes. I think this is a service to our country and to the people who need help.

  • Fuck All You Communist Bastards !! Americas DEAD!

  • Reagan 8yrs

    bush 8 yrs

    bush 8 yrs

thats 24 years of america being raped by republicans. your right. its almost dead.

  • I did watch Supersize Me, and its a pile of steaming shit. NOBODY eats like that, especially in a recession. You could make the same movie about someone who only eats cookies for a month, and when they're fat and sick, what does that mean? You should never eat a cookie again? Chips Ahoy is an evil company? There's this concept called 'moderation.' Give me a fucking break.

  • @DevSodDribble

Ok-then eating fried shit day after day doesn't make you obese. Whatever. Health care reform passed-so what I say doesn't matter, but I guarantee you it's going to bankrupt our nation.

  • @ DevSodDribble

You've got to remember that the documentary film. ''Supersize Me'', was filmed in 2004, Thats the period when we thought we could get away with anything, you remember when Bush told us everything was ok? The Year is now 2010and much has happened since.

  • This makes me sad to see where this great nation is headed. Why do we need social medicine its proven bad all over the world. Drs i know for a fact came from a socialist medicaine place to practice med in the US wonder why that is. Why do bunches of canadian people come to the US for medical treatment. Could be that America once had the best healthcare system in the world,, not now... thanks dems and Obama. We as a nation can be like MIKE. lol My prayers are for the people onf america God bless

  • Name a country were socialize medicine lead to the detrament of the country? Some folks come to the US for medical procedures because we have some of the best specialists in the world. Did you think they come because they have US Health insurance? By the way ALOT of Americans go to mexico for cheaper drugs and services do you think the the medical procedures are better in mexico? or its just cheaper to get access to them without a middleman collecting his cut ( I.E.insurance companies)

  • @bamagirl6811 not just dems or repubs. Our country has been bankrupt since FDR declared chp 11 in 1933. We're still functioning under it to only off loans. If we killed the creature from Jekyll Island we'd all be better off in time. The fed has been buying up insurance companies and they're the ones "loaning" us the money with interest due too.

  • Finally! You did it Obama!

  • Stop the BS about this reform bankrupting this country or we don't have the money for it since it has not been enacted. The Republicans had 13 years to get some form of healthcare reform when they had the power, but chose not to do it and give tax breaks to the rich, deregulate a lot of things to cause the 2008 September Surprise, and went after a former President over sex. Most of this stuff against what has been passed is based on hate and racism where no one cares about anyone else.

  • Boehner 1:29 has no problem using your tax dollars for greasy GOP pork. But when it comes to using that money for the national benefit he screams foul.

  • Agreed

  • Be real, Boehner uses that money for his spray on tan too.

  • National benefit? I dont have healthcare and could get it free prob and need a hernia op and a couple root canals but getting a gov handout that comes from a loan because our country has been bankrupt since 1933 is just not worth the increasing debt. We do need healthcare reform, but we need real economic reform first but Obama doesn't seem to worry about that, just get a loan from the fed and hand it back to them to do what they please n threaten martial law if they dont comply. Bush #2 to me

  • @william0873

Ever Republican president since (and including) Reagan has increased the debt/GDP, while every Democratic president since (not including) Franklin Delano Roosevelt lowered it.

But Bush's uber-recession totally crashed the economy. It takes major spending to get out of a recession that size (the Great Depression took World War II to fix itself, and that raised the debt to 120%/GDP, whereas debt today is only around 90%/GDP.

  • @nafaidni I see you haven't studied Austrian economics since you seem to think we can spend our way outta debt. Our debt is gonna go way up in the next decade too with our medicare n social security unfunded liabilities.Debt doesnt make you a fascist though, it's the way Obama is following Bush foreign n monetary policies among other things is why I consider him fascist. This country went bankrupt n has been under emergency banking procedures, bankrupt,n on loans since fdr as far as I know

  • And the US deficit goes up another Trillion dollars. Where the money come from?

  • they expect us to pay for every lazy motherfucker in the us,its called socialised medicine

  • @hefeltbad If you only knew how utterly ignorant your comment is...STOP WATCHING GLENN BECK!!!

  • by the way i hate fuckin glenn beck!!

  • @jay1wo

Same where the other ten trillion debt dollars from the bush-era came from: china.

  • From those that have.

Big Gov snatches from those that have, and sprinkles off to those that don't have.

    Socialism is evil.

  • The same place where we got money to fight the Bush wars. You know the 2 trillion dollars we charged the taxpayer. Were was the outrage then? so give me a fucking break.

  • Mor elifes will be saved.

    Thats what matter

  • @jay1wo

Nope. The non partisan CBO says the deficit will be cut by $140 billion in the first 10 years and $1.2 trillion in first 20 years.

    It cuts the deficit.

    Enjoy!

  • Where do you think, the Federal Reserve. The good ole Federal Reserve will just print off another trillion and the treasury will borrow it from them.

  • That's why we have monopoly boards, its free cash, with no consequences... *sarcasm*

  • China

  • @jay1wo the CBO says it will lower the deficit.

  • At our expence

  • @cvcdgftr7676545 Whether it may lower the "deficit" is debatable; however the term"deficit" only refers to the govt.'s salary of tax dollars. It may lower it, however that would largely be due b/c of taxation. DEBT is very different and MUCH more important. The CBO says the bill will create roughly 10 trillion dollars in debt by 2020! That is a shit-ton!! That price tag costs more than WWII, Vietnam, The New Deal, and the Iraq war combined!

  • @JeradStarr it's going to reduce the debt that we have. why you can't get that is beyond me. it's not a small bill, but it's something that's a long time coming and needed to be done.

it sounds to me like you are rich or well off and don't want to pay more taxes. it's like americans don't care about people who are not rich or upper middle class, which is most of america nowadays.

  • @cvcdgftr7676545 hahaha well hate to disappoint u but unfortunately I'm broke, in college, majoring in Political science and Econ. Now I don't know how much u actually know about American debt but don't take my word for it; do some research and find out. Also whether your an American or not, don't insult my fellow citizens like that, that's just disrespectful.

  • The bill raises money through cuts on wasteful spending in Medicare. No taxes are passed besides the 2.5% tax penalty on not being insured (mostly affects the moderately wealthy who choose not to buy insurance), a 30% *I think* tax on insurance plans costing over $25000 or so for families (these Cadillac plans are only for the hotshot CEOs who want to be invincibly insured), and the 10% tax on tanning booths (not healthy, like cigarettes).

  • We need healthcare reform but the bill they passed will bankrupt the US even more than it is already. Probably lose our aaa credit rating from the additional debt. Anyone with any sense at all could see the pharma and insurance industry will be the biggest benefactor, not to mention the federal reserve, where the loan to our gov is coming out of, has been buying up all the insurance companies possible. Unless BO has wants the US to fail then he needs to get the fed reserve in check by audit

  • @william0873

Nope. The non-partisan CBO says that this bill will cut the deficit by $140 billion in the first 10 years and $1.2 trillion dollars in the first 20 years.

    It's deficit reduction.

    Enjoy!

  • actually, I think a war in the middle east that we can't win will bankrupt us faster than any stupid health care reform bill.

  • WONDERFUL NEWS!

    Change we can believe in!!!!

  • how ?

  • Considering over 80% of American's health problems are lifestyle related, they better put some hefty taxes on soda, junk food, etc. to pay for all this crap.

  • @awesome220 Trust me-they wont. Actually all fried foods, KFCs and McDonalds should be heavily taxed (all the fatty and unhealthy foods) , but they wont.

  • @WinterHaven Why should they be 'heavily taxed'?? ANY kind of food can be 'unhealthy' if its all you ever eat, even celery. Also, what about people who eat at KFC etc. and DON'T get fat or sick?Who the hell are you to make that decision for someone else?

  • @DevSodDribble

oH YEAH RIGHT-I'm going to get obese eating celbry as you put it, as opposed to fucking Happy meals. GET FUCKING REAL>

  • @WinterHaven You TOTALLY missed my point. There aren't enough vitamins, nutrients, protein in celery (yes, that's how its spelled; look it up) by itself to keep you alive, so you'd die of malnutrition. Some people have a strange idea, based on that stupid 'Super Size Me' movie that there are people out there who only eat fast food, which simply is not true. What's 'unhealthy' depends on who you are-look up Peter O'Toole or Lemmy Kilmister sometime. Case closed. Fuck your nanny state.

  • more kinds of health probs than just being obese although obesity is definitely bad for your health in a lot of ways. The flouride in water and the aspartame in a lot of diet sodas and sugar free foods is much more toxic than obesity. Not to mention monosodium glutamate. All have effects as bad as if not worse than just being fat but out wonderful fda doesn't even protect us from that, much less bad choices and greasy food. Educating people might help, or incentives for good health

  • @DevSodDribble People don't get sick overnight. It takes years of abuse. And 60^ of Americans ARE overweight, one out of four OBESE. It just dones't magically appear. Watch the documentary SUPERSIZE ME>

  • You are correct.

However, be at least a bit weary of your own call for social engineering.

  • @ DevSodDribble

The goverment says so. The goverment says that we must eat more vegetables. Should we listern to them? Thats for you to decide.

  • @texas224 Call any vegetable, and the vegetable will respond to you.

  • the U.S. is owned by KFCs and mcdonalds...

  • @chiru2die4

    YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!!

  • Can I super-size my health care?

  • @awesome220 Exactly the point. First they Mandate health insurance then its only a matter of time before they dictated even the little things in life. What's to stop them from making it where everyone is required by law to become a vegetarian? One could argue that it supports life and the general welfare of the public. This bill is just one more way the government can start micromanaging our lives.
