Pretty high intercept speed and you should not bring the gear down at 220kts with 5 flaps. You should also already have a decent degrees of flaps by then. Other than that great video.

flaps should be set on 10 not on 20. 20 is used when you are over 250.000 lbs or in extreme weather conditions and when the runway is too short for the aircraft

A lot of pilots like to fly real call signs, but there is no rule on VATSIM that states that you have to. I really wanted to fly the 747, but didn't want to fly long haul.

Does the radio panel automatically switch frequencies or do you have to do it manually? If so, where do you get the correct ferquencies?

You can see the frequencies in squawk box by the controllers call sign. Like the real thing you use the comm in you radio.

Great video but do you knoww you are not allowed to record on VATSIM unless you have permistion, and yeah i heard you guess talking about a computer and the new i7 prossesor, i just got a new computer totaly FSX worthy i7 2.99GHz ATI 512MB 4800 graphicz card its amazing but it costs about £1,174 nut i tell ya its worth the money

@FlightSimXvidz, that's for real-world ATC (which you probably can record anyway), not VATSIM... the User Agreement says nothing about that strange rule you made up, it'd be way too hard to enforce.

It's only called What u hear for creative soundcards. Otherwise you want to select stereo mix or something similar. You should be able to change this in Fraps.

yes hi when you play do you have traffic from FSX or it is all from vatsim?  and also when i fly what should my weather be on like do the towers have theres on real world weather because how do they no if i am going the ILS or visual.

I think it is Squawk Box and the VATSIM data which is creating the other aircraft.

the old Nvidia stuff and duel core (I have), to be honest it is changing so fast, I'd look at the new systems they are doing, Core i7 and Quad core. This will help with FSX.

I used walk and follow to get the camera angle. Just another layer in Adobe Premiere, scaled down, and a little opacity keyed to make it fade in, slightly.

Can you tune ATC with our radio stack on our plane? Or any panels of FSInn or Squawkbox?

And BTW, What do you do, if there is no ATC on the airport we're landing or departing?

Yes your radio stack comes 'alive' with Squawkbox. If there is no ATC switch to UNICOMM 122.80. And just announce intentions, and Squawk 2200.

The basics. You log in to a network using squawk box, or FSInn. The accompanying traffic is generated in sq box as opposed to FS. You would have to ask a server expert on vatsim, about the hosting.

Active Sky will not produce wing view as it is a weather program. I used 'Walk and follow' with these wing views. Also 'Active Cam' is very good for wing views.

Go through all the different views by messing around with A and S keys on your keyboard. It's there somewhere. ;-)

I am with BAV. Which dispatches realistic flights and call signs, flight plans etc. This was a fictional flight. Because I wanted to use the 747 pmdg, short haul.

I recently joined vatsim (yesterday:) and had a few questions. I just listen to ATC but wanted to do a flight (VFR) and was wondering if you have any suggestions? Also I am in the US sector ...what does that mean? Can I log onto only the US servers? And lastly when I was listening in on vatsim I noticed the other players planes look really bad...how do yours look so good? Thanks!

You can fly where you like, but most people like to fly where they are likely to learn to fly in real life. I think it makes sense to learn one or two flights well were you live. It's only my plane which looks good. Other planes also look bad to me. Go to the main site for advice.
