Lol, thanks. It's still Windows Movie Maker though. Guh...Sony Vegas won't accept mkv and no way in hell am I downloading G00 again in avi or converting all my files. Too much hassle. xD Guess I'll have to wait for the G00 dub DVD rips to come out before I can use Sony Vegas. :p

you don't need vegas to make good amvs. i just started using vegas but all my good amvs use wmm like ichigo's perfect insanity amv i made and g-00 drop the bombshell one

Yeah, WMM is just so much easier to use and it makes all those damn codecs I downloaded worth it. Flashes and fades are a bitch sometimes though. Have to get the flash to jive to the beat by ear. It can be troublesome since WMM freezes so much. Very difficult to sync beats to flashes. My Gundam 00 - Chemicals React vid was a nightmare because of that. Teeny clips and lots of fade syncing to beats. @_@ I want to do "I Hate This Part" by PCD next but I'm not sure I can sync well with the piano. :(

yeah the flashes and fades can be like that. never heard that song. but you should at least try. you never know, you could get it to work

Yeah. Will do. ^_^ It's just so troublesome to work with mkvs. On the upside, I don't have subs in my vids. On the downside, I have to cut the clips myself because WMM won't turn the episodes into clips for me. :p Can't wait for avi dub DVDrips to come out for G00 so I can really get the job done. :p

Btw, I saw your Drop The Bombshell vid awhile back. Awesome. :D Excellent use of ripple. :p I'd use more effects in my vids but my laptop is freezy as heck when I do that. :(

thanks. my laptop freezes too(even with vegas) but i got use to it. you got mkvs to work on wmm. i can only get fate/stay night in mkv to work on wmm.

You need codecs to get mkvs on WMM. I used the Combined Community Codec Pack to get G00 in mkv onto WMM. Forgot where I downloaded but a quick search should show it to you. :)

As for freezing, I think it would freeze less if I were on a desktop. Laptops have the weakness of having very little RAM. They can't have a high-memory program running for a long period of time. I asked for an external hard drive for my birthday. Hopefully that'll solve the freezing. @_@ So long until February... >_>

well i got the k-lite codec pack. i got a 1tb external hard drive for my laptop but i haven't used any of the anime on it for amvs yet

I'm working with no external hard drive so you can imagine the freezetasticness. >_> It's the reason why G00 is the only anime I use. :( 1 gigabyte RAM just doesn't cut it.

I still think there pretty good. I use wmm because I believe it easy to use and I'm really lazy when it comes to doing to much effects on my videos and sometimes to many effects make the video have bad quality and its hard to watch too.

True, effects can ruin a vid but I'd love to be able to use more of them. @_@ Even WMM effects make my vids freeze and a bitch to export. :( This is why I tend to favor short clips and fades though that can get troublesome too. Guh...freezy. >_> WMM and I have a love-hate relationship. xD

i agree that effects can sometimes ruin a vid, only if you don't know how to use them.
