kinect does not work as great as it should, but it still works. its very innovative because it recognizes your full body in 3d space and has voice recognition, and that works well.
move however, works well but is a wii clone.

actually. playstation move is a combination of wiimote and kinect. you can play games using full body capture on ps3. and you can play games using the motion controls too. if you played a game im sure you wanna hold something to make it feel like your actually doing it. compared to pretending to hold something. wii is all movement no video capture, kinect is all video capture no c\m\controller movement. sony got it right by putting the 2 together. I brought the Ps move at the beginning of the year basically for The Fight: Lights Out. I've played mostly all the Move compatible games and haven't been disappointed yet. I'm planning on getting the sharpshooter to try out the fps games. So far the best game on the Move is Kung-fu live IMO.

I enjoy my PS3 and 360, but I'm not interested in Move or Kinect to replace what controllers do well, I want them to bring NEW experiences. Move is no better than DS3 for games like KZ3, yes it's great for those who find controllers difficult for FPSs, but games like Tumble and (hopefully) the LBP2 Move Pack are better examples of Move's potential. Forza 4 and ME3 are great examples of Kinect's potential.

You said earlier Kinect = EyeToy, but that ignores the fact that EyeToy/PSEye are basically (very good) webcams, hence can only track people in 2D. PS Move > Kinect. I have a 360 and thats it. PS Move has buttons on the controller and is more accurate, kinect is not as accurate and lags a bit. Im voting for the move becaus you can play all from fps to platform to childens games on ps3. and as far is iv seen you can only play these small mini games on the kinect sports/kinectamals/adventurse and so on. so i vote for the ps3 until ive seen something else.

@TheZwedishGamerz - Hardcore FPS PC gamers will insist that mouse and keyboard is the *only* way to play a FPS ;-) Move is no better or worse than a standrad controller for FPSs, but that's a good thing because it means it's a great alternative for those who have never felt comfortable using a standard controller for console FPSs, especially those more used to mouse and keyboard. For me, I'm more interested in Move and Kinect for the new gameplay experiences they have to offer.
I think that kinect won't do as well for the xbox cause there's alot of hardcore gamers for xbox and let's face it playstation move has much better hardcore games. Xbox 360 people aren't gonna want to buy this cause there to busy playing halo and call of duty I doubt there gonna leave that for kinect animals. Playstation just brings more to the table

@MySolver - I thought games were about having fun, not how you look :) Most people look like fools when dancing, so does that mean no-one should dance? And holding a wand with a light on the end doesn't look cool either ;-). I think both Kinect and Move are great, but in different ways. It's true you wouldn't play Halo with Kinect on it's own, but then neither would you drive a car in a game like GT5 using a Move wand, or play Virtua Fighter with a mouse. All controls have their pros and cons.

I actually have the motion controller for ps3 and I ENJOY it.. My son really enjoys the eye pet game.. I enjoy the sports as well.. We will see how they do with this I think they may have released it too early.. perhaps to compete with kinect but I am sure they will do something to make it better .. For my Personal Opinion: I think the kinect is better, since it's cost only $150, and that's it, all in one, everything I needed for game, n also I want to add a few thing, I'm not loyal to any console, which is why I got all of them, X360 S, PS3 Slim, and Wii, I think Wiimote is still better than PS move, since most game require only one wiimote, and PS move is like playing game using wiimote on PS3. Note: This FMPO only, I DO NOT want to start any flamewar.
@Need4speedkiller I got everything i needed for the ps move for only 130...instead of 150. Also i already had games that integrated the move. Not trying to start a flamewar either, but getting one navigation controller isn't that hard. This adds a lot more depth since you can...navigate and stuff. If you saw the star wars on kinect thing, it's like...an action game on rails
@MrAnonymusQc - Yes, let's pretend MS didn't use the hardware developed by PrimeSense and that MS didn't develop the software which analyses the data sent back from the cam and uses that to determine where numerous parts of the body is within 3D space. Let's pretend MS didn't add a multiarray microphone (hence the shape of Kinect) and didn't develop the software for voice recognition. Let's pretend it was a finished product ready for use with any console/computer and MS bought it ready made. :)
@MrAnonymusQc - So it's true to say PrimeSence (like 3DV) developed their cams for any system to use, and yes Kinect is based upon PrimeSense's hardware, however the 'magic' of this tech is just as much the software and it is the hardware, and MS's biggest input has been for the software, which they developed themselves. However, The543masterluk is clearly wrong when he says MS were working on Kinect when the Wii was released, because like Sony's Move, it didn't start until a few years later :)
@MTMind2 unfortunately you are wrong by one point. Move was indeed in production before wii and kinect. It was meant to come out for PS2 but the PS2 hardware couldn't hold the technology so they sticked with the eye toy camera games(which they were first with aswell) and the gametrack and similar devices. The main reason move came out THAT much later is the fact that they didn't wanted to bring out a half assed version of it only so they can be the "first" even they actually were productionwise.
@fm95master - That's a popular internet myth, it's completely untrue :)
Richard Marks' research into interacting with webcams using objects like balls and wands started around 2000, but that wasn't Move, they were not developing a controller back then. The tech from that research used in Move is sphere tracking, but Sony didn't start to use that tech and create a wand with motion sensors as a product until 2008 according to Richard Marks. @mamatamba2 - To say "all the 360 has is gears" is pure fanboyism (sorry, but that's true). I enjoy my PS3 and 360, but I'm not interested in Move or Kinect to replace what controllers do well, I want them to bring NEW experiences. Move is no better than DS3 for games like KZ3, yes it's great for those who find controllers difficult for FPSs, but games like Tumble and (hopefully) the LBP2 Move Pack are better examples of Move's potential. Forza 4 and ME3 are great examples of Kinect's potential.

Not only that the kinect sold alot but plp realized that it had potential but lagged out. The move is good but it has it's flaws. It's hard to register. U need space. Bit hard to learn. @SilentS0lid - I have to disagree with you there, Move is great, but I do think Kinect is a more advanced product :-). You said earlier Kinect = EyeToy, but that ignores the fact that EyeToy/PSEye are basically (very good) webcams, hence can only track people in 2D. Kinect has a webcam AND a 3D camera, hence it tracks people in 3D. Eg;

Kinect also has a built-in audio processor, where it does most of the work for voice recognition, instead of the console's CPU.

PS Move > Kinect. I have a 360 and thats it. PS Move has buttons on the controller and is more accurate, kinect is not as accurate and lags a bit. How the hell are you supposed to play shooter games on the kinect? I guess i should say that i think the ps move is better than the kinect just for the gaming aspect of it. For all the extras the kinect is where its at

Im voting for the move becaus you can play all from fps to platform to childens games on ps3. and as far is iv seen you can only play these small mini games on the kinect sports/kinectamals/adventurse and so on. so i vote for the ps3 until ive seen something else.

@TheZwedishGamerz - Hardcore FPS PC gamers will insist that mouse and keyboard is the *only* way to play a FPS ;-) Move is no better or worse than a standrad controller for FPSs, but that's a good thing because it means it's a great alternative for those who have never felt comfortable using a standard controller for console FPSs, especially those more used to mouse and keyboard. For me, I'm more interested in Move and Kinect for the new gameplay experiences they have to offer.

@MySolver - I thought games were about having fun, not how you look :) Most people look like fools when dancing, so does that mean no-one should dance? And holding a wand with a light on the end doesn't look cool either ;-). I think both Kinect and Move are great, but in different ways. It's true you wouldn't play Halo with Kinect on it's own, but then neither would you drive a car in a game like GT5 using a Move wand, or play Virtua Fighter with a mouse. All controls have their pros and cons.

I actually have the motion controller for ps3 and I ENJOY it.. My son really enjoys the eye pet game.. I enjoy the sports as well.. We will see how they do with this I think they may have released it too early.. perhaps to compete with kinect but I am sure they will do something to make it better .. For my Personal Opinion: I think the kinect is better, since it's cost only $150, and that's it, all in one, everything I needed for game, n also I want to add a few thing, I'm not loyal to any console, which is why I got all of them, X360 S, PS3 Slim, and Wii, I think Wiimote is still better than PS move, since most game require only one wiimote, and PS move is like playing game using wiimote on PS3. Note: This FMPO only, I DO NOT want to start any flamewar.

@Need4speedkiller I got everything i needed for the ps move for only 130...instead of 150. Also i already had games that integrated the move. Not trying to start a flamewar either, but getting one navigation controller isn't that hard. This adds a lot more depth since you can...navigate and stuff. If you saw the star wars on kinect thing, it's like...an action game on rails

@MrAnonymusQc - Yes, let's pretend MS didn't use the hardware developed by PrimeSense and that MS didn't develop the software which analyses the data sent back from the cam and uses that to determine where numerous parts of the body is within 3D space. Let's pretend MS didn't add a multiarray microphone (hence the shape of Kinect) and didn't develop the software for voice recognition. Let's pretend it was a finished product ready for use with any console/computer and MS bought it ready made. :)

@MrAnonymusQc - So it's true to say PrimeSence (like 3DV) developed their cams for any system to use, and yes Kinect is based upon PrimeSense's hardware, however the 'magic' of this tech is just as much the software and it is the hardware, and MS's biggest input has been for the software, which they developed themselves. However, The543masterluk is clearly wrong when he says MS were working on Kinect when the Wii was released, because like Sony's Move, it didn't start until a few years later :)

@MTMind2 unfortunately you are wrong by one point. Move was indeed in production before wii and kinect. It was meant to come out for PS2 but the PS2 hardware couldn't hold the technology so they sticked with the eye toy camera games(which they were first with aswell) and the gametrack and similar devices. The main reason move came out THAT much later is the fact that they didn't wanted to bring out a half assed version of it only so they can be the "first" even they actually were productionwise.

@fm95master - That's a popular internet myth, it's completely untrue :)
Richard Marks' research into interacting with webcams using objects like balls and wands started around 2000, but that wasn't Move, they were not developing a controller back then. The tech from that research used in Move is sphere tracking, but Sony didn't start to use that tech and create a wand with motion sensors as a product until 2008 according to Richard Marks.
