There is a programme call "Come Dine with Me" on Channel 4 here in the UK. One of the chefs actually wore a pair of goggles when he chopped his onions. Great minds think alike?
LOL!! My youngest niece, now 19, wore a pair of goggles when she was 11 because she was crying so much, and she had to collect her tears, she said, to know just how heartbroken she was. The reason for her crying: her mom transferred her to another school with even higher credentials. You know, ambitious Chinese mom, always pushing their kids. I know "Asian" kids in the States have quite a reputation for high achieving. Here in Blighty, "Asian" means Indian/Pakistani. Chinese is Chinese to them.
