THUMBS DOWN! THIS IS *ONE* STORE THAT DID THIS. MF ACTED UPON IT.. ITS A ONE PERSON THING THAT RUINED IT FOR EVERYONE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED AND FIXED! MATTRESS FIRM IS A GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT VALUES AND ETHICS.

Why would you buy a defective mattress anyhow? The words likely, and possibly leads to the conclusion that it might be....?? The salespeople are often not kept in the loop or even are lied to. I worked there. Shocked...cheap buys cheap.

As a Mattressfirm employee I would be fired on the spot if we did this, every bed retailer has a clearance area that's how they sell off there returned products, you would have to be an idiot not to be able to make the distinction from new to previously owned. I do not believe this is the entire story. Film editing can be very powerful.

My opinion is that Mattress Firm has done this A LOT and they finally got caught. Now I hear they are having money troubles and decided to go public to raise money. Sounds like bad business practices are catching up with the used mattress sellers!

Love you guys, let's just require that every store in America scan and test every product for every eventuality and see where the costs go. I'm of the mind that if that happens these products might just be more expensive to buy used rather than new. Are we all that worried about sleeping on a semen stain? Check the gas pump handle or the handles/tables at restaurants ever see notice how many people wash their hands after using the bathroom. Get off your soapbox and live in the real world.

Did they think they would tell their employees that they're selling used mattresses? Fuck no, that would be stupid. So they send a reporter to ruin this guy's day, asking him a bunch of stupid questions. He probably had no idea himself and if customers buy a clearance bed they might buying a floor model or exchanged mattress, so if you want a mattress in perfect condition, buy new.

Hey moron, MrSleepclean! If you had watched the clip, you would be able to add up that the bed with bodily fluids was from Essex Mattress. All that showed with Mattress Firm was that the bed had body impressions.

Finally, our clients are fully aware of the condition of their clearance mattress of choice before the purchase and we require their signature stating so. We would not be the company we are if we were selling mattresses illegally nor would we as a reputable company do that to our clients. The reason the sales associate escorted the reported out of the store is because he is legally unable to speak to them without becoming personally liable for false statements. He was just protecting himself.

As a Sales Manager for Mattress Firm, please allow me to clarify some of the mis-information you are being presented to in this video. Mattress Firm offers a customer a choice of new or clearance purchases. When buying a clearance bed the customer is made aware that the bed may have been slept on and returned through our 100 Happiness Guarantee. These beds have to be sanitized before returning to our warehouse and DO have the yellow tags on them, if not they are damaged or floor models.

@STOLENNAME25 The salesman clearly told the reporter they are not used mattress's and that they didnt even sell used mattress's. Mattress Firm does sell used mattress's and apparently they are not disclosing it to their customers. That is where the problem is.
