If a group of Christians feel led by God thru Jesus Christ to travel around the country, just to your town, to bring supplies, and fellowship, I encourage you to embrace it. The USA is made of many people & many nationalities, if you have a town idiot, do you want to be judged and labled by them? Inside we are all colorless, all the same, determine a persons worth by themself, not their neighbor, not their town, not their country. And America has a LOT of poverity of it's own, Christians have <3
You went to see how the other side lives, what you think your better that us. Let me tell you people something, changing someone religion is not going to make things better in their lif. You come an spen a couple mornings and tell people that you christian religon is better ant that their life will be better. Who the hell do you thing you are to travel to someelse home and tell them their religion is not as good as yours and make them change their religion.
bout i think you shouldn't talk about other religion.
we guyanese like to keep our own opinion to our self .
i need your help to make the teacher stop hitting the kids in school . and do it like the us .thats why so many kids are dropping out of school thanks 4 everything you guys did
You guys are such assholes an full o shit. i am guyanese an i am a christian but i see no problem with hindu and muslim, i was thinkin of converting in fact so why the hell yall people tink that finding "jesus" gon help the poverty. pletny o ppl that isnt christain is happy , so what nonsesne yuh talkein? bout yuh cud see the sadness in them. ent no sadness here. is sadness to yu. damn fool!
Your charity and good works are admirable, but the fact that you do them in order to proselytize to my people quite frankly disgusts me. These people and the country of Guyana don't need your Christianity and getting the entire country to accept your white Jesus won't fix the extreme poverty. This is why secular people look at Christian charities with suspicion. There's hidden motives behind your charity. You're still carrying out "The White Man's Burden"! You should be ashamed.
I am very touched by your vidoes. I remember that Nigg Church vey well. I can identify a few people in the clips such as Andy & Vaji. They know my family. Are you part of the UFM? Do you know Bro Joe? I went to his church in Canje, Berbice btw. I can identify a lot with your video clips. i practically grew up in this church. i really missed the people since i moved to the USA 6 years ago.I wish I was there! Guyana is a young developing nation with lots of opportunities to evangelize. God Bless!
I believe I met Brother Joe when I was there. Andy just spoke to our church in Michigan about a month ago. I look forward to going back in July. We'll be church building in Bath. I am not part of UFM. We do donate to Partners of Evangelism though, which helps Andy and his ministry.
good luck on your missions. which part of guyana was this? when i was there i remember VBS also! the church looks like the one that i used to attend. God Bless
I admire people helping others. But please don't use poverty as a tool to convert others to your faith. I am sure these people know God in their own beliefs; If You truly want to help then help them build upon what they already have, don't try to change them.
I can see your concern. However, my group conducts several missionary efforts even within our own country. Financial standing of the people we reach does not drive our decision to go there. We have a Guyanese missionary there in Guyana and we went down to help him reach your people.
Interesting postings. I'm always surprised at any form of hostitlity toward the Bible. To me it is pretty clear "Preach the good news to all creation". What is so controversial about that? Some will listen, some won't. It is, and always will be a choice. Besides the gospel, at the very least, I'm sure you can appreciate helping your fellow man with basic physiological needs like food. We often give food and clothes on these mission trips. Surely you can't be opposed to that.
Great video, very encouraging, I'm Guyanese also living in the US, and it's good to know that they are still mission groups interested in going to guyana. God bless.
finding Jesus, and then find happiness. Listen up. I am Guyanese, People in guynana are always happy. SO don't give me the crap of Jesus gives them happiness.

Hmm. Interesting that you can speak for the entire Guyanese community. Two points of fact. First, Jesus wasn't white, and secondly, neither am I.

You colonialists try and peddle your Christianity to every corner of the globe, and it makes me sick.
thegoldenmuscle 4 years ago
Sorry to hear you feel that way, but he Bible explicitly tells believers to do that very thing.

You mean to spread the word of God in your VERSION. And guessing your a literalist, that's a version also.
