Sony alpha 77(A77/ α77) FULL HD MOVIE---ANIKI_A77_TAITUNG.m2ts

I'm REALLY considering purchasing this Sony Alpha A77. It's not on sale in the States yet. i'm in the U.S sony website says they will start shipping at the end of this month. Should i wait to buy this camera? Have they fixed all the bugs yet? Anybody out there own this camera? What's your opinion?

@moesnuts It's been on release here in Thailand for some time now. Bugs - should there be any, will be fixed with firmware updates available from the website. Personally I prefer the A65 which is built around the same imager and processor, costs considerably less, and does much the same job. But if you're a professional photographer with money to burn, you might want the top LCD, a few extra dials and metal body.

Aniki is a dream of a model ! Great, great footage- very good ideas for the different kind of backgrounds/environement. I watch this, because I am in the position for buy a follow cam for my alfa33- this model 77 is my decision now ;-)

@firebo14 It's first time I film using A77, I remember most time I use auto mode to recording motion image:D. Howerver, I sold it now, so I can't upload new videos of A77.

The whole video is biased. You can't take a bad picture/video of that girl.. You could've shot the whole thing with one of those disposable cameras and she'd still look great. Like, the whole time I wasn't even looking at the quality, I was looking at the girl. If you REALLY want to test a camera, either use an uglier girl and see if she looks prettier, or don't even involve a person.

Really should have listed what lens was being used. Overall, the results were too soft so I guess it was the 14/50 kit lens? I think the CZ 24mm f2,0 would really pop on this camera.

@powxcreation I don't know. I just use PowerDirector 9 to edit AVCHD2.0 format.

Your A77 is out of order? Sounds like yours has gone faulty just like MANY other A77s. Here in the UK we have a problem with the A77 having to be sent back too.

@Gimp1203 My a77 has problems such as long time when power on/off, LCD info not ready to show, and can't shoot after sleep.........howerver, I take back my A77 repared from Sony Taiwan today ,Sony Taiwan say they will feedback to Sony Japan it really a big trouble on A77s and A65s.

Thanks for the update. The latest rumour in the UK is that Sony have stopped shipping the A77. Good luck with your A77 repair.

Hi again, just saw a rumour that you might be interested in:

The production A77 has a new Bionz processor and the firmware was for the older processor on pre-production cameras. Nobody tested the firmware on the production version of the new Bionz processor.

@Gimp1203 MANY users also complain to Sony Tawian, I thinks it will release before 13th Oct that A77 sale in Japan.
