hmmm i don't know because i'v never spoken to an Indonesian person or someone from Singapore before but to me you definately sound like someone from India who has just worked hard on their pronounciation :) x
@shirusubemonaku we Filipinos don't have our own version of english, but we have our own slang, pronunciation and accent is depends on the speaker, sometimes we do taglish(tagalog-english mix). :) by the way, Good Accent.
I have many indo friends in Singapore that studied in Singapore. Yours sounds like an indonesian that stayed in singapore for about 4 years. Its naturally indonesian but influenced by singlish. :D
that indonesian accent you tried to do is not that bad. Your Singlish is almost perfect, imo. Your "neutral" accent is just fine, a bit of everything like you said!
@EndoKeren The Indonesian accent - I'm just trying to compare it to Indonesians' way of pronouncing some consonants. Maybe I should have spoken in real Indonesian instead of Indonesian-style English. hehe!
My singlish is perfect?? Hahaha thank you! I think it's perfect in terms of structure/interjections. Just that I still haven't picked up their accents!
singlish or indo? LOL

@kazoo61 oh yes that's an important part for Indonesian. kids (or rather people) who can't pronounce rolling R are frequently teased in Indonesia

sw3ety 11 months ago
@sw3ety wah pertama kalinya yang ngomong gini... gw malah ga bisa british accent at all.
sylvg 11 months ago
The dialect I would call "Asian English" but the accent as such of your neutral voice I would describe as "Indo-Singlish".
knoodelhed 1 year ago
@knoodelhed dialect? But I talked in standard English! At least I thought so.. haha :P yes IndoSinglish might be the most accurate. hahaha
sylvg 11 months ago
