@miserableoutcast They've said in interviews that a lot of these songs probably would have been on D&G (you can hear trace elements in a couple D&G songs -Luca and Sowing Season especially - and Fork & Knife, but they felt like people getting early and unfinished versions tainted them a bit. There's been a long standing rumor that they'll be a part of a remastered B-sides collection, but I doubt that will ever happen. Unless they break up soon (which is also rumored).

Ughh it had nothing to do with not wanting to use them. If some of you true fans may recall, Brand New was featured on the front cover of AP as they were one of the most anticipated albums being released in the upcoming months...2005? CD go thrown out, Jesse said in an Interview that they just decided this wasnt what they wanted to sell for $15-20 and they did not to release it. Couple songs got redefined for TDAGARIM, Fork and Knife came out as a single. FOYD R.I.P.

The album that these demos were gonna turn into was going to be the follow up album to deja entendu. It was not gonna as a whole be pre your favorite weapon. Think about the lyrics on some of these songs, and the music. They were not on that level pre your favorite weapon. also some of these songs still were adapted and used in the devil and god.

I absolutely love this song! Even though I love Brand New, to me this just isn't Brand New. This song is something entriely different that no other band or artist could ever replicate. And although I will always appreciate what these guys put out, if there were more songs like this in their future then that album would be a world phenomenon. But who knows, maybe that's just this guys opinion.

Hmm... Maybe give me a specific exemple for a song by the Smith's. Don't get me wrong, I like the Smith's and Morrissey is great and I can see where Jesse Lacy gathered most of his vocal inspiration, but the song as a whole really isn't anything like the Smith's. I stand by what I originally said. This song will never be beaten nor will any other artist (past or present) come close, maybe not even Brand New again. I mean they are a fantastic band, but this song is just so unique in every way.
