@anothername666 Yes it is because when we dress like catrinas or how you tell them "Sugar skulls" we do it to conmmemorate our death people, but you want to wear it as a game like making fun of it so I think that would be like disrespecting our traditions. If you dress just like a skeleton its O.K. but dont dress as a catrina making fun of it... :D

I am Mexican and yes we do use this type of face painting as tradition but in no way would i feel disrespected. with the same knowledge Dmldt1 is saying, are Christians and Catholics disrespected when people dress up as Santa? em no. so don't worry about "disrespect". :) Mexican are very open minded.

@dmldt1 I didn't dress up, just painted my face crazy like I love doing :) and I just named it "Sugar Skulls" because I saw many other youtube videos similar to this and that's what they were calling them. A total misunderstanding, I didn't know it was part of anyones culture so I didn't investigate it, to me it was skull makeup and that's all it was meant to be. I will change the title, thanks for the clarification.

You had to expect to get flamed for ur comments. This is coming from another Mexican. Sugar skulls are not a tradition, they dont even sell the sugar or chocolate skulls anymore, that was just candy for little kids. The Mexican holiday "Day of the dead" was created so ppl could pay their respects for relatives who had passed away, by placing a food offerings, candles and place lots or flowers on graves for remembrance, thats it! Skulls has nothing to do with it, so gtfo.
