  • I'm glad that you liked your nursing school. Did you research schools before you picked one? Was it private or public?

  • @SaintWilliamIII Yes, I did about 6 months of research before picking my school. I'm picky and didn't want my money wasted.

  • telling myself there are good teachers out there because I have seen many on youtube. The problem is, how to go about finding a school full of them.

  • @SaintWilliamIII HOnestly, I LOVED my school... MOST teachers where amazing and helpful but you're always going to NOT vibe with one or two teachers. It's life but yes... finding a school that is truly helpful would be best. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for sharing : )

  • .........now it is pretty bad when one of your teachers tells you that! And actually we had a pharmacology teacher who resigned because she said the school was setting students up for failure and she wanted no part of it. Students who get "As" in typical college classes should be able to get "As" in nursing, but that isn't always the case; sometimes it's because of bad teachers, teachers that don't teach, or too much material in a short time span. I keep ...............................

  • @SaintWilliamIII It's true, some schools success is simply dependent on the teacher's attitudes. Bad attitudes, bad teachers... NOT successful. I understand where you're coming from.

  • Sorry, but some schools like mine make nursing ridiculously difficult. The medical material being difficult by its very nature is one thing. My nursing school makes nursing hard by not teaching the material, which makes it almost impossible. I actually have had one good teacher, who taught and tried to help the students succeed. That same teacher actually told me that those at the top said they must increase the rigor; she said the teachers interpret that as being deceptive and withholding info.

  • @SaintWilliamIII Sounds like a rough situation, sorry you're experiencing that.

  • what type of school did/do you go to, private or public, for both ADN and BSN?

  • @xLinnc Private school and they offer both programs, ADN and RN-BSN.

  • OMGosh Nacole I was asked to speak at the new student orientation tomorrow and share my organization tips and resources I use. Needless to say you are definitely one of my most favorite resources that I am excited to share with them. This vid is soooooo timely and I am going to suggest they all log in and view it.

  • @pogmpls Aww, thank you soo much. I thought I was the only one who considered organization important in nursing. And congrats for being the speaker, you doing to do amazing : )

  • I am a second year nursing student in a 4 year BScN program. Half of my classmates are repeaters. Nursing school in general is very demanding, but my school is just crazy hard. They do what they can to separate the students with the greatest potential from the weaker one's. I'll appreciate it when I graduate because it will prepare me for the real workforce, but for now I'll continue to complain...

Nicole, I appreciate your video's. Keep them coming =)

  • @gridlock28 I complained every single day of every since minute, you're entitled to do so. Can't wait to see your graduate : )

  • I agree with you. I'm a new student (for 3 weeks!) and it is TOUGH! It's tough for a reason. We will be better nurses because of it.

  • @owjaysmom I agree completely : )
