I want to be a vegitarian so bad but most of my meals have meat in, if i knew if this happened to my chicken id be horrified, i think uk laws are different to americans, im gonna make a start, and try my hardest not to eat meat
I don't really see the distinction between wanting and wishing, but okay. And while the Internet is a good place to start, public sources of information are unreliable because of propaganda, misrepresentation, and outright lies. I'd rather get the juice from the source, so to speak, but since I can't - that's sorta what I meant when I said I didn't have resources. Especially when most meat is bought from bigger companies, it's hard to root out the truth from all the sweet lies they sell.
I didn't kill them, they were on sale. I'm not saying I condone this shit, but I've grown up an omnivore. When I go to the store, I don't do research on every product to make sure that my meat was treated with all due respect to its fully sentient existence. I don't limit myself based on something someone else did somewhere down the line in my meat's preparation for sale. I go to the store, I look at what what tastes good and is relatively cheap to buy. Hotdogs, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, etc

This looks like Mexico or some other poor country that doesn't follow the humane slaughter laws at least here in Aus and the UK and so one the animals are stunned and not slaughtered in front of the others to minimize stress before having the throats cut its quick and painless but this is barbaric

There just is no way to tell how the animals we are eating have been treated, if they have been tortured and suffered, it's hard to ignore this now whenever I see meat, was this animal tortured this way? There just is no way to tell how the animals we are eating have been treated, if they have been tortured and suffered, it's hard to ignore this now whenever I see meat, was this animal tortured this way? I can't be party to this cruelty, especially when alternatives exits. Thanks for sharing this video and the reality for so many living beings that are helplessly living in fear and pain.

The problem here is not that the birds are bred for meat, it is the callous indifference to their pain shown by the meat processors. They are breaking many of the laws which are supposed to improve animal welfard.

The more we learn about other animals we are finding out they have complex intelligence. Chickens and turkeys are capable of reasoning and have many of the same emotions as humans do. The moral of the story is ALL LIFE IS EQUAL.

ugh, i can't even finish watching this video. all the screams just haunt me. what they are depicting in this video is by no means even close to being humane. i can understand electric stunning, but not slitting their throats while they are conscious, and can feel the pain as they slowly bleed to death. My Dominican friend told me how in the old days in her country, chickens live outside in the sunshine, and were fed corn and had enough room to move around. Then she said, the system became Americanized. Now, the chickens are packed like sardines, having their beaks cut off, rolling in their own feces.

I wonder how old this footage is ... because today's production methods (at least over here in Germany) are completely different ... they get an electric shock and then their head is cut off by a machine. They don't feel anything. So I will keep eating chicken. ;)

We sent the horse slaughter industry to Mexico where there is no regulation on slaughter and we will be sending the chicken industry there next. We are also sending most of our vegetable industry there do to regulation. We need to import all our food just like we do our oil.

I really do struggle to see the problem with this video... Yes the poultry are being slaughtered, it's a slaughterhouse!! Not a vets, these aren't pets being euthanised ffs.. They are a product... The slaughtermen are doing their jobs quickly and correctly, the birds are being bled out and consciousness is lost very rapidly after the initial cut.. If you eat meat, then you should at least have the balls to see your dinner die for you.. If not, then why are you watching this? Some sick fetish?

This is so sad and it made me cry. The poor chickens and turkeys :'-( The workers that must do this are psychologically tormented. It is not right to force people do commit these disturbing acts or risk not feeding their families or being deported(many are illegal immigrants) I have heard that most of these workers cannot even eat meat. It is unfair to the animals and also to the workers.
