A tiara with a scrunchy? Weird. hmm I love the song, and there is no doubt that she has natural talent, but this song is way too huge for her... I listened to a proper version from the Phantom soundtrack in the car today and the song definitely needs that power/push/control that Hollie lacks, especially as it reaches the end.

This little girl is just beginning her singing career and she is already wonderfully expressive and moving. I can't wait for her album, and for the many other albums to follow!

OTOH, the phrasing & emotion in this are PHENOMENAL--mature, rich, textured--like a pro! It could be her voice maturing, but she's probably been having private lessons. If so, kudos to her teacher! She sounds even LESS like an 11-year-old. I have 3 versions by Hollie & 6 by other women. This is the most distinctive. The experienced pros (e.g., Brightman) are "better" technically, but Hollie leaves 'em in the dust emotionally--quite a feat for a pre-teen.

I dearly love Hollie's singing, but, in the first part of the song, it sounds like she is having trouble with her voice. On "here" in "Somehow you would be hear," her voice almost fails. There are other places, as well, where she loses power. The latter part of the song is better. She may have been a bit sick. (Not surprising if she'd been traveling & singing outdoors in the cold--see other HK clips.)

@gslusher No, her voice is just like that with songs that are too big for her. It happened on BGT as well. Her first BGT audition was perfect for her though.
