Stef. How do you define the word "murder"? Ted Bundy was killed by the State. Jeff Dahmer was killed by a fellow inmate. Are they both murder victims? Are their killers equally guilty of equal crimes? One mother kills her fetus. Another kills her newborn baby. Are both mothers murderers? Are both babies equally human? When do human rights begin? In WW2, my dad killed defenders of Hitler's grand plan. Did he murder them? Were they wrongfully killed? You must define your terms.
The two serial murderers deserved death. They are as equally guilty of immoral destruction as any government, and were held culpable for their depraved actions. A fetus isn't human, so the first mother is not a murderer. Anyway, she would have to share part of the blame with the doctor administering care (were abortion murder), as he would be fulfilling the role of a contract killer. A baby-killer is by definition a murderer, and your thus guiltless father was in effect protecting his own life.
@MVPacMan23 wrote, "A fetus isn't human." Folks realized they could live more convenient and profitable lives by enslaving blacks or by gassing Jews. They justified this evil by arbitrarily depriving these people of their humanity. The D.O.I. states, "all men are CREATED equal;...endowed by their CREATOR with...UNALIENABLE rights..." Scholastic Books lies about this history in 2 ways. 1) They delete the words "by their Creator". 2) They replace the word "created" with "born". Why?
@MVPacMan23 wrote, "The two serial murderers deserved death." I didn't ask if they deserved death. I asked if the State that kills is morally comparable to an inmate who kills. I'm trying to understand how Stef defines the word "murder". In other videos, he seems to toss the words "kill" and "murder" around very loosely, as if they are interchangable. And in one video, he mistranslates "The 10 Commandments", saying "Thou shalt not KILL" instead of "Thou shalt not MURDER". See my point?
@MVPacMan23 wrote, "A fetus isn't human, so the first mother is not a murderer." OK. How would you judge these different cases: Mother #1 aborts her son because she wants to have a free and easy sex life. Mother #2 aborts her son because she is told she will die otherwise. Mother #3 aborts her daughter because she wants a son. Mother #4 aborts her son because he has Down's Syndrome. Mother #5 aborts her son because he has the "gay gene". Mother #6 aborts her son because it's her hobby.
@MVPacMan23 wrote, "The use of 'her son' is inappropriate here." No, it's not. 1st, we identify the gender of fetuses all the time! "Oh, I just felt my son kick!" Wiktionary defines a fetus as "an unborn...vertebrate showing signs of the mature animal." -- "signs", as in genitalia? 2nd, "Son" illustrates the global problem of babies being aborted BECAUSE they're girls. You also wrote, "A fetus is a prenatal future human being". You may arbitrarily call it subhuman, but I refuse to. See?

anarcho-communism isn't possible with large concentrated populations either. I think the big issue is the state. if a large population center NEEDS a government, then they will have to have one. but there's no reason that government should have control over an area the size the world's nations, or that it's rule should be absolute (medeival iceland for example, where there were multiple governments)
i think that people are somehow unconsciously aware of what you're saying and are okay with it. the government is a bully the majority contract because they feel it does a better job of protecting them than they themselves could. the problem with anarchy is that few people want it.

I don't believe in anarcho-capitalism because it is kind of like survival of the fittest. "Convince people that your life has value or die" kind of.

You are off there money flow and they can try to take your propriety, normally choosing a war of attrition rather then any violence. By your argument, any rule government or not is a threat of death. End of space
I don't see way it is any different if the government send man in blue customs or if the mob sends ppl in suits, other then the fact that society has agreed as a whole to the rules of the government. Is that the best from everyone? Probably not. Is there inefficiencies? Yes. Are there other example of how Anarchy works well on a large scale? Not really. try to stick to thing I've actually said. No, I do not think slavery is moral, AS YOU KNOW, eh?
You are born on your parent's property... how does that relate to it being their property? not at all.
My point is not to legitimaize US claim to this territory really, see also the genocide of the native American, but the claim to property that YOU might have is superceded by the claim of the US, because, it's printed on a document that only has weight in a US court!
Whatever your claim to real property is, it canot be greater than the US claim because it's predecated on it. Deny the US owns the US, and we don't give the property to you as a result, but back to indigenous people. You don't seem to advocate that, right, you want the deed you have to be valid, but without the justice system it refers to.
thanks for replying... even if you disagree, do you understand the challenge?
**"My point is not to legitimaize US claim to this territory really, see also the genocide of the native American, but the claim to property that YOU might have is superceded by the claim of the US, because, it's printed on a document that only has weight in a US court!"**
It's not circular. I realize you will ignore the point to try to get a trivial win. The point is... the US claim to the US may be illigitimate, but it HAS to be at LEAST as legitimate to any Deed which holds weight ONLY in the US system. You cannot say the US claim to the US is not valid but think your deed to your real estate is valid. That deed is only as valid as the original US claim. Simple.
Are you saying we need to return the land to the Native Americans? Or not?
Ah, the failed "love it or leave it" (LIOLI) argument. I'm fairly certain Stef has a podcast on this. Strike the Root addresses it as well.
strike-the-root[dot]com/3/baker/baker1[dot]html
And to that article's conclusion I would add that falling back on cop-outs #2 and #3 creates a bizarre double-standard in which certain individuals are immune to the very principles used to justify the LIOLI assertion in the first place. So one has to claim the ideas to be simultaneously true and false.
say what? so that is supposed to answer why your property deeds are valid but those the US upon which all current property claims are based are false. Does MA give the land back to the native americans or not?
short version: this is how I found molyneux, I had questions/issues with DROs and was sent to listen to Stefan here... my question remained... it's a run around in terms of getting an answer. It's always "it's answered over here" but it is not, in fact, answered over there.
Problem I see there is that by-in-large no choice is ever being made in the first place, let alone informed decision making. Average Joe doesn't ponder his government and weigh it against other forms of government. Susie and Joe slave, get wasted and slave, have a kid and slave, slave a little more and then die.
And the owner's land thing: well, all I wanted to say here is that no land truly belongs to anyone... IMO....
stefan, I get this all the time, and this is not my only approach, this is why I must come to you... Either I accept their point right off or they go mum.
I consider myself a progressive libertarian, an anarchist of the anti-hierarchy, not anti-communal sort... I'm friendly to many of your principles... I appreciate your point about self-change leading to social change... feel free to outline how you think I should approach this fairly.
please, I'm sure such a bold system has bold defenders besides stefan? anyone? what about you stefbot, I'm sure you are not daunted by my point, nor others I'd bring... this one is to face the concept that the US is a holding corp for common property got by settlement.
Surely you get at least my point that a property deed in the US is a US legal document.
Granted... the US rents even private property, cause it really owns everything within the border. Not saying that's good... but true.
seriously... I think I'm dealing with this fairly, and with humor, non-derisive, to make a point clear. The response is unimpressive. Nothing against the fans, but really, study up or something. I can drop the humor if you prefer it dry, but seriously, I have some strong arguments for you that you will be stronger for surviving... given that your ideas do survive them.
raters, please understand, you want to change the whole world to your system... I have little need to hear back from you in that I can analyze the system from Stefan's writing etc etc.
But I am giving you a chance to defend your system answer answer the flaws I find.
I'm open to being swayed as I believe in NAP, I believe in personal sovereignty, personal autonomy.
There are a lot harder people to convince than me... though, I do have some seriously difficult dillemas for you, but be brave.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
excuse me... you say you didn't agress anyone when you didn't pay taxes, but you used US property, did you not, you are on OUR property.
We charge a fee to be on our property, held by US Inc. (more or less), and if you don't want to pay, emmigrate to another nation... shazam you don't pay our taxes/fee.
me and the rest of the property holders... the US is nothing but a holding corporation for our common property.
granted we stole it from the native americans but hey, your Deed to that property is a US legal document... even having a deed means you used US legal infrastructure. Pay up. (j/k a little)
That would only be true if he were using more of the property than that which was stolen from him. Given that he makes a decent amount of money, it is highly unlikely that he would ever use enough government "property" to be greater than that amount.
Why would you argue that YOU are the owners of the properties on America, why would you argue that if Stef doesn't want to pay taxes he would have to leave? I mean you really have to have your head fucked up to think that the use of the gun will make you the owner of the land. Besides with what you are saying, that would mean that if Stef doesn't want to leave, he will be shot. So Stef is right in everything he says here. Your are just making murder threats.
if the US doesn't own the property it claimed, then no citizen does either... it all goes back to the Native Americans, and not the ones that were here when we got here either... the ORIGINAL first claimers prior to any dislocation due to conflict among those people's descendants.
pyrrho, you can download an audio version of "the ethics of liberty" by Rothbard on mises(dot)org where he walks through logical ways of coming into ownership of property and addresses some of these arguments.
Of course, do what you want, by no means is this an order.
thanks for the recommend, but why can't I get a discourse on this? I've been sent to liten to a lot of expert... the things I listen too/read always have the same issue... why no direct defense? I'm supposed to be convinced by listening but what about an answer to my charges? does MA not work like that? Did you hear an answer to my plea in that podcast/recording? what is it? Thanks for trying to be helpful but really...
lol, stef I disagree with you on many things, I still owe you a message to see if we can debate a few issues some of your fans have recommended I take straight to you... anyway, later on that... but "hello, I'm a group of hot asian girls"... roflmao.
Ah yes. And i like the naked force of hot asian girls.

The use of "her son" is inappropriate here. A fetus is a prenatal future human being, not a fully develope person wothy of the moniker "son".
All the examples you discussed are allowable, though 3, 4, and 5 are morally reprehensible. 1 and 6 are my heroes.

You don't seem to advocate that, right, you want the deed you have to be valid, but without the justice system it refers to.
thanks for replying... even if you disagree, do you understand the challenge?

No more property? sounds good to me.

**"My point is not to legitimaize US claim to this territory really, see also the genocide of the native American, but the claim to property that YOU might have is superceded by the claim of the US, because, it's printed on a document that only has weight in a US court!"**
You do realize this is completely circular, yes?
LibertyIsNotGiven 4 years ago 6
It's not circular. I realize you will ignore the point to try to get a trivial win. The point is... the US claim to the US may be illigitimate, but it HAS to be at LEAST as legitimate to any Deed which holds weight ONLY in the US system. You cannot say the US claim to the US is not valid but think your deed to your real estate is valid. That deed is only as valid as the original US claim. Simple.
Are you saying we need to return the land to the Native Americans? Or not?

if the slave could leave but chose not to, doesn't he have to live by the rules set out by the property owner?
or do you think the slave has claim to the owners land?
pyrrho314 4 years ago
Ah, the failed "love it or leave it" (LIOLI) argument. I'm fairly certain Stef has a podcast on this. Strike the Root addresses it as well.
strike-the-root[dot]com/3/baker/baker1[dot]html
And to that article's conclusion I would add that falling back on cop-outs #2 and #3 creates a bizarre double-standard in which certain individuals are immune to the very principles used to justify the LIOLI assertion in the first place. So one has to claim the ideas to be simultaneously true and false.
LibertyIsNotGiven 4 years ago 2
say what? so that is supposed to answer why your property deeds are valid but those the US upon which all current property claims are based are false. Does MA give the land back to the native americans or not?
pyrrho314 4 years ago
short version: this is how I found molyneux, I had questions/issues with DROs and was sent to listen to Stefan here... my question remained... it's a run around in terms of getting an answer. It's always "it's answered over here" but it is not, in fact, answered over there.
pyrrho314 4 years ago

I appreciate your point about self-change leading to social change... feel free to outline how you think I should approach this fairly.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
please, I'm sure such a bold system has bold defenders besides stefan? anyone? what about you stefbot, I'm sure you are not daunted by my point, nor others I'd bring... this one is to face the concept that the US is a holding corp for common property got by settlement.
Surely you get at least my point that a property deed in the US is a US legal document.
Granted... the US rents even private property, cause it really owns everything within the border. Not saying that's good... but true.

Hawt Azn girls!!! Hey wait a minute...
lemur257 4 years ago
seriously... I think I'm dealing with this fairly, and with humor, non-derisive, to make a point clear. The response is unimpressive. Nothing against the fans, but really, study up or something. I can drop the humor if you prefer it dry, but seriously, I have some strong arguments for you that you will be stronger for surviving... given that your ideas do survive them.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
raters, please understand, you want to change the whole world to your system...

This comment has received too many negative votes show
excuse me... you say you didn't agress anyone when you didn't pay taxes, but you used US property, did you not, you are on OUR property.
We charge a fee to be on our property, held by US Inc. (more or less), and if you don't want to pay, emmigrate to another nation... shazam you don't pay our taxes/fee.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
Whos we?
realworldplayer 4 years ago
me and the rest of the property holders... the US is nothing but a holding corporation for our common property.
granted we stole it from the native americans but hey, your Deed to that property is a US legal document... even having a deed means you used US legal infrastructure. Pay up. (j/k a little)
pyrrho314 4 years ago
That would only be true if he were using more of the property than that which was stolen from him. Given that he makes a decent amount of money, it is highly unlikely that he would ever use enough government "property" to be greater than that amount.
OparinsBulldog 4 years ago 3
what is this money you talk about... I think my holding corporation prints that stuff.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
Thats just nonsense.
LatinYoung20 4 years ago
because my ancestors came over on the Mayflower and claimed it.
Why would YOU own it if we can't? We took it so you could own it!
I believe in non-aggression, I'm making no threats.
please calm down.
I think you get what I'm saying.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
if the US doesn't own the property it claimed, then no citizen does either... it all goes back to the Native Americans, and not the ones that were here when we got here either... the ORIGINAL first claimers prior to any dislocation due to conflict among those people's descendants.
I hope they have deeds on record.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
pyrrho, you can download an audio version of "the ethics of liberty" by Rothbard on mises(dot)org where he walks through logical ways of coming into ownership of property and addresses some of these arguments.
Of course, do what you want, by no means is this an order.
Genowulf 4 years ago
thanks for the recommend, but why can't I get a discourse on this? I've been sent to liten to a lot of expert... the things I listen too/read always have the same issue... why no direct defense? I'm supposed to be convinced by listening but what about an answer to my charges? does MA not work like that? Did you hear an answer to my plea in that podcast/recording? what is it? Thanks for trying to be helpful but really...
pyrrho314 4 years ago
if the gun doesn't make you the owner, then it all goes back to the native americans and stef can't have a thing.
pyrrho314 3 years ago
see, "thumbs down" is not a compelling counterargument to my point.
this is why I have sought out stef, because of people that "believe" the same ideas but "thumbs down" is the extent of the defense they can give them.
The ideas (like DROs) are obviously good enough to at least deserve better defense than that, CLEARLY.
pyrrho314 4 years ago
mr. thumb, you just downrated this summary "The ideas (like DROs) are obviously good enough to at least deserve better defense than that, CLEARLY."
You don't think they deserve a better defense then "nuh-huh!"
pyrrho314 4 years ago
lol, stef I disagree with you on many things, I still owe you a message to see if we can debate a few issues some of your fans have recommended I take straight to you... anyway, later on that... but "hello, I'm a group of hot asian girls"... roflmao.
