Love the way you tell the story. But I'm sorry to hear it was a scary experience. I am from Holland, but I would like to live somewhere where it's warm most of the time, where people speak english and where the entertainment industry is booming. Los Angeles and Las Vegas are my first choices. The earthquakes (and a visa) are what is stopping me from taking that step.
@shadesparty That's ridiculous. Earthquakes are the last thing to worry about in Los Angeles. they happen rarely and when they do they are harmless. Major ones happen once every 15-20 years, but rarely is anyone killed or hurt because all the buildings in California follow strict guidelines so that they are protected from earthquakes
i love your story ont worry .that was my firt earthquake too!!!but i was ten or eleven.i would make a blog about it but i cant becuz my camera is broken.n plus im too lazy to fix it so....ya=).dont worry when the big one happends ill send you ten messages k.....k....=)
MEH!! Id like to see u go live in the Midwest! Make a video of you *SEEING* your first tornado and your reaction. xD Hilarious seeing people in Public with their first time Tornado. :P
For someone who has lived in L.A. this is not a strong earthquake, but for someone who never felt an earthquake I'm surprised you did not run out. I have a friend who had never felt an earthquake and he was just like you only that he did run out of his apartment.
ohh my gosh girl i lived in CA from the day i have been born i freaked out when i had my first earthqueak and this earthqueak was the first one that i am older and i was doing to same thing
Why do New Yorkers go to California? They should go to Oregon or Washington for crying out loud. They just add to the immense population of the Southern California and the smog in Los Angeles. Good Grief!
LOL you are so funny.. I know I have a friend from MI and her 1st earthquake scared the crap out of her... LOL i have lived here all my life and have been through many. Try not to worry if its less than a 5 your ok.. a 6+ then you need to worry.. Oh like the BIG ONE which is suppose to be a 7.8 or 8.3.. yeah that one will scare all of us
I was born & raised in Santa Cruz County, Ca. Have been thru many Earthquakes includ. the '89 Loma Prieta . Living only 6 miles from the epicenter of the 7.1 quake. Some ppl think it takes Minutes to do extensive damage. The '89 quake lasted only 15 seconds (tho it seemed like minutes) it caused the massive San Francisco Bay bridge 100 miles away to collapse. Many whole neigborhoods for 100s of miles around had houses & structures fall & so much more. 15 seconds people, 15 sec's & 100'sof miles
We felt a earth quake . . . IN ENGLAND! It was the fucking middle of the night and I was having a sleepover with two of my bezzies and it was like AHHH EARTHQUAKE, I didn't think u could get earthquakes in the middle of Kent, then we had a mini tornado . . . that was fun cus we were horse riding and the horses were like, "So what, theres a mini tornado in the field next to us, we will just keep trotting figure of eights" lol. I am 11 by the way NOT 19
i never had a earthquake people said oregon doesnt get that much earthquakes but i think oregon did have a earthquake but it only lasted 2 seconds and me and my family was a sleep cuz it happen at 1am
lol 20 seconds you're lucky :) i've been through a 7.1 and 6.9 . just last month we had a 5,5. man that was such a joke. the scariest thing is that we're expecting the next big one to be a few years away and to be close to 7.9. i'm so screwed :(
know your feeling!! just moved to Alaska and experienced my first quakes here, yes i said quakes!! im from fl and it really did SCARE the crap out of me, everytime!
yeah i feel you girl im from n.y too and i never experienced one either and my husband is from c.a and he says there NOT THAT BAD UR JUST A SCARDY CAT but he doesnt know how it feels cause he's been in them before and hes used to it so were planning to go out there but after this vid idk lol
I lived in LA for 20 years and I experienced some big ones like 6.0 on the richter scale. There not that bad after you get used to it. I remember waking up to one and fell right back to sleep. For the big ones of course I take precautions but I think there cool. I'll be privileged to die in an earthquake.
i didnt even notice that it was an earthquake until i saw picture frames falling from my wall and then i kinda got creeped out and then i was like if it stays like this ill be okay and i was going if it comes stronger im jumping out the window cuz i was on the second floor and all. was wierd last earthquake was a small one in 2004.

i have never experiencte (i spelt the word wrong) an earth-quake but if i did i would be holding on to my mother screaming i dont no why but im not scared that much of the swine flu(OH DAM I CHANGED THE SUBJCT LOL) i think i should go lol
yeah it'd be nice if there was subtitles or captions, its hard to explain to my deaf friend how hilarious these videos are xP im not very good w/ facial expression
i was in school while it happened. LOL we were in computer class and we were looking at the lights in the ceiling move around. The ground was shaking and the computers were shaking. We were just sitting normal while using the computers. When it stopped we were like "haha oh shit it was an earthquake"
It was my first one too. I was like WHAT THE FLYING F*CK DO I DO!!! So I got under the cabinet under the sink in my kitchen screaming "ITS ARMAGGEDDON!!!" I'm from New Hampshire so I have seen Ice,Snow and Hail storms before but not an earthquake.

You sure this video is about a earthquake. It sounds more like you were getting shagged under the desk. 'Rocking backwards and forwards having a panick attack.'
