i plow snow for 6 townships yes i see your point in geting the road open but the way we plow is wing what you can graders have plenty of power to do the job you just got to know how to use the power the thing i cant belive is the wing is not even mounted on the machine .
@dskrum I think that they are were more worried about opening the road up at that point. You can always wing the road back later. Besides graders don't have the traction or the power of the old Snow Fighters like the Walters, Oshkoshes, and FWDs. Which is why a lot of towns keep these trucks around even though some are over 50 years old. If they were using one of those they could run the wings and be fine.
If they'd keep at it instead of slowing down as soon as they get to the snow and do a little spinning he would have gotten through a low quicker
