  • Stunningly Emotive.......makes Me sad, Beautiful and intricate in the way the music and vocals are intertwined to produce such an affect. Absolute Masterpiece. Thank You for sharing. =)

  • I don't believe there's any negative comments on youtube about Concrete Blonde. That, to me, says they are freaking great.

  • I know this song through a 1985 B grade movie called The Party Animal.....love the song...Dream 6 was the band now Concrete Blonde,,,all time song

  • ok, they more than likely just threw it away. but they told me they burned it prob so i wouldn't go digging through the trash for it ..lol

  • my parents took this from me when i was a teenager...and BURNED it because of this cover! Can you believe that? they thought it was satanic. :/

  • My goodvfriend Neal worked for them for years!!!! Cool people and great song!!

  • Bigem Erisoglu ;)

  • WE all go through rain

  • i wonder where you are, watchin' the rain...

  • ....also I strongly believe that 5FDP saw the Party Animal and liked the sound of Rain so much they used it in "The Bleeding"......check it out and judge for yourself.....Rain was the first song I thought of when I heard The Bleeding.

  • I like the original version that was in " The Party Animal" movie. It was by Dream 6 before Concrete Blonde.

  • @snowskull the singer in Dream 6 is the singer in concrete blonde

  • @shaffer2112 Dream 6 was the name of the band before it became Concrete Blonde. IIRC Stipe from REM called their music or sound 'concrete blond', and they adopted the name for the band. You can also look at the book in the Concrete Blonde: Still In Hollywood CD, that's where I read it from.

  • Overlooked gem - absolute gem!

  • @andrew1236

    ABSOLUTELY........

  • living them now! fuckin hate it!

  • So haunting, so strangely familiar, so unforgettable.

  • i always turn to this band in my moments of heart break.

  • heard this song many moons ago on a local radio station, when the band was called dream6, cheers for posting been looking for it for ages

  • great, deep song.. love u johnette

  • Looks like a huge group of us found this in Part Animal. Great memories!

  • Like many other posters, I first heard this song from Party Animal in '84ish and have been mesmerized by it since.

  • Another classic from CB

  • originally heard in soundtrack of dodgy yank student film "The party animal" aeons ago

  • sad song, but i totally love it

it really gets good from 1:00

    ' I really miss you now... '

Johnette has such a beautiful voice, can listen it all day long

  • I also heard this on Party Animal and I loved it, now I'm a big Concrete Blonde fan

  • Me too!

  • Except that the Party Animal version is by Dream 6.

  • Dream 6 are probably the same band but it is a different and a much better version.

  • man this song is so beautiful and mysterious.

i heard it in Party Animal and it just captured me. love it.

  • Ace posting this song! Long live the Blonde.

  • When I first heard this song in the "Party Animal" movie, I was blown away. I couldn't describe what I was feeling, but it was dark, delicious, and different!- Could never find the track, only years later to be brought to a CB concert by a friend and wow!

  • This was popular when I was a teenager. I remember getting all emo to this song in the day ;)

  • Saw them live twice ,and she is a truely gifted artist, and very beautiful too.

Some people got it all, I wish her the best in the future(Johnette).

  • Been trying to find this song since I saw Party Animal years ago.

    Thanks for posting!

  • I saw the Party Animal when I was a kid and fell in love with this song as well. Tried like hell to find the band "Dream 6" but couldn't find anything. Then I found out "Dream 6" was actually Concrete Blond. This is one of the best songs I've ever heard and I have loved it for years.

  • I loved this song as an angsty teenager back in the 90's.

  • Suicide Myself. Fuck this. Depressed.

  • So. :)

  • Actually...Dream 6 and Concrete Blonde are exactly the same...just a name change round '86....after a suggestion from Michael Stipe.

  • I know...people are like " The dream 6 version is better" and it's the same damn band!...lol

  • i love them.

  • i can play this on gutar my mom taught me

  • This is actually a song by Dream 6, which Johnette was in. Made famous in the movie The Party Animal.

  • The original Dream 6 version is vastly superior.

  • Dream 6 was the same band...same song..lol

  • I know they were the same people. But the Dream 6 version is still better.

  • There is no different version...there is only one recording by one band...they just changed there name after they recorded it.

  • You are wrong. The Dream 6 version sounds more raw and is better then the Concrete Blonde version. I know it's the same people but they didn't just take the same song and put it on their album. They re-recorded it and in the process lost the original versions punch. This is like the soft version.

  • Then you have the "Dream 6" version? If you are talking about the track off the movie "Party Animal" then it is THE EXACT SAME TRACK. If you have a version other than this then please share.

  • CMT1978...I apologize. You are correct there is a dream 6 track that lacks the synth and some sound effects that this one has. To me, it sounds like the the same vocal and guitar track that they took and just added effects to...but anyway, I stand corrected and apologize for doubting you.

  • No problem.

  • the version in Party animal is a different version to this one and is the same version as on Dream 6's record.

  • @astronut66 Concrete Blonde used to be Dream 6 then they changed the name. You can still get the original if you look for it.

  • This song is great.

  • fuckin A.I have lived through these moments.

  • We used this song in our production of Dracula last October. It was the scene where Mina finds Dracula. I get goosebumps whenever I hear it.

  • Haha I'm pretty sure I was IN that production =D

  • I think I lived this song

  • This song is great. One of the greatest Concrete Blonde songs ever. Totally underrated band. Johnette has one of the greatest voices ever.
