  • who could be this 1 dislike o.O This is played beautifully :')

  • Good sound bro...good chops too....have you played a Guardala handmade MBII? Could you compare if you have. The Ponzol sounds dryer than my GMBII

  • @MasterBlasterRGR Thanks for the your kind words, I used to have Early MB l before , and haven't compared it to the ponzol mpc (Now I don't have both,...lol)

I guess you are right, it sounds dryer than the most of the mb ll,...the difference could be , as far as I know, ponzols are now CNC made , and MB's were hand made , so the difference could depends on the condition or character of the MB too

  • damn!! his altissimos sound so remeniscent of brecker :O

  • I WANT THE SAME SOUND !!!

  • Great! You're a great player. So what's your final decision? I think high notes are thin on that piece.

  • @vivreback Thank you for the compliment, Now I am playing on a hard rubber mpc for last 2-3 years and since the day I got it,..it's been sitting on the neck cork till today,..lol

I think it's my main now

  • Is that a left-handed sax?

  • @MrSaxmanJones it's a mirror.

  • Jesus. Thats some high stuff right there..

  • que es mejor ??? peter ponzol o guardala MB II ???

  • awesome!!!

  • wait you need to pud your lefthand up

  • nice sax

  • What kind of tenor is that?

  • derek is that you lol?

  • I'd like to see a VS between this and the Guardala MBII...the Ponzol has a bit of a sweet, more edgy character to it, but the Guardala has more guts in the bottom end, and a complexity that makes you want to hear more. :-P

  • I cerainly like your playing buy would like to know how raised the baffle is. You have reminded me how good stainless steel is as a material for mouthpieces, better by far than brass and like sterling silver no need for plating.

I hope to be posting my prototype mouthpiece in cast sterling silver in the fat rod rubber design, and my prototype solid sterling silver tenor sax in 0.8mm instead of the usual 0.7mm polished on the inside bore and gold plated.

    regards tubatenorsax

  • Hey i play Tenor and this is great! One question...is your right hand on top???? Lefthanded sax????

  • Great pick'en ! Bravo. Hope to see your face on TV some day.

  • Who makes that sax sounds great?

  • wow

  • i love that sound

  • nice screamin altissimo notes

  • hey man. great sound. are you playing in some band? have you some cd? :-)

  • Very nice playing 'young man'! I've been using the Ponzol M1 Gold for years now and I'm checking out the new stainless models. It sounds great when YOU play it. Hope it sounds as good for me - and 'old sax freak'... :-)

  • wow

  • you sound amazing. i love that lick that you ended this video with. beautiful playing.

  • holy shit dude. calm down, humans arent that good at sax :)

  • where can I get that mouthpiece??? and how much does it cost??? what number is it 6 or 7??

  • hey man.. sound great... im ordering the exact same mouthpiece for myself.. are you completely happy with it?

  • I hope you can try all before you buy it, Now I don't have these mouthpieces anymore (I sold it to someone. both alto and tenor,...)

I am playing Vandoren mouthpieces now and it's relatively cheaper and works better for me somehow

But try ponzols and let's see how you like it

    Thanks,

  • @youngsaxfreak Can you make vids of the vandoren ones you use?

  • @youngsaxfreak It's the player, not the setup !

  • nice mine was made in 2009 haha but i still love it

  • Thanks for the kind words,

the horn's serial number is 87xxx, made in 1960

  • Your welcome sorry for the typo earlier on the word Michael My bad. Good luck on your playing once again great job.

  • Sounds like you have a little Michele Brecker in your playing? Great job. I like the horn. I have one that looks just like that. What's the serial number on the back of your Mark VI? I don't just hand out compliments to anyone, but you are a great all around player in all registers of the horn. Keep it up.

  • is that saxophone built the opposite way or does the video have a mirrior affect on it?

  • damm man some day ima play like you

  • Nice tone. I like metal for tenor, but for alto I love the hard rubber. I think I'm gonna try the hard rubber vintage or a Jody Jazz HR.

  • sounds like this mp is pretty sweet!

    you sound good man!

    keep it up!

  • Is that a mark vi?

  • damit why are metal mouthpeice so expensive

  • because it's made of metal and because people want them so much even though they aren't necessarily better

  • do you need a steel moutpiece to get that same tone?

  • definately not. actually in this case the tone would be easier to get on hard rubber except for some of the screams. it is definitely more the player. I know plenty of people who can get this on a yamaha 4c

  • like me. lol. I prefer a Jody Jazz HR over most metal pieces. I've been itching to try a vandoren metal piece. do you have any knowledge on it?

  • they are very good. I only prefer metal these days because I have a very small jaw and big teeth so I need smaller mouthpieces. my favorite are streamlined rubber pieces but those are rare to find. the vandoren metals are very "link-like" but better quality than modern links

  • thanks for the info on the vandoren peices. I will invest in one

  • it could be possible for a left handed sax. if there is one idk. it is theoretically possible thought. so, dont crap on my parade.

  • What is a ordinary sax BTW? i think I saw a selmer mk VI, right?

    great performance...

  • first off, that was totally amazing. second, what strength reed did you pair with that? third, i am at a loss of words for your saxophone(besides the point of it being left handed for some mysterious reason). a vintage sax... it looks like something around the 1950's... damn. i give props to you. bravo.

  • i like your tone and sound your the real deal man would love to hear a band

  • Comment removed

  • Any reason why this is a reversed tenor sax?

  • that's what i was just thinking! a left handed sax!

  • the camera on his computer is on mirror image

  • I think my laptop's Bi-webcam mirrored the video somehow,

So it seems like I am playing a left handed sax, but it's an ordinary sax, BTW, Is there any left handed sax?

  • i know of a one handed sax,

and a mezzo soprano none the less.

    i dnt remember the website,

but im sure if you google One handed F sax, or One handed mezzo soprano, you'll find it.

  • @youngsaxfreak no there isnt it doesnt make a difference its akward flipped for righties and lefties (coming from a lefty of course)

  • @youngsaxfreak No all saxophones are left handed

  • i just noticed do u have a left handed sax???

  • So for I really like the sound, but I'm considering an M2 for my yamaha 82z Shot blast.....opinions?

  • he's using a hemke 3.5 on this recording but usually uses a vandoren java 3-3.5

  • Hey, do you know anything about Ponzol's only alto mouthpiece?

  • it's good sound!!!

  • Beautiful job of floating out the top notes, especially in the beginning!

  • Thank you for the comment,

I've just sent you an email so Please Check!

  • Nice sound! Thank you for uploading, I'm looking for the information of PPM2 SL model. Please let me know Which brand of reed you use?
