This is probably the only VH album I can think of where the shortest song isn't an instrumental. (Besides 5150 and OU812. Those didn't have instrumentals.)

I realize I like all VH albums of the Roth Era. Still would have to check the Hagar side, but , having listened to the Van Hagar hits, I'd say the Roth Era did more musically. I like some things from the Hagar Era, but they went a bit syrupy.

(ish) 316: Too quiet, but good. Top Of The World: Hate it. That's just my opinion however. I'd suggest it, but not fully.

This is my favorite solo of Eds' not because of technicality but because you can hear he probably kept on playing even after the recording was over because he was in mode overdrive when idea's are on fire and you just can't stop.
No one on the planet could put a better solo on that song. Classic!

I wish the song were longer with Eddie just soloing for another five minutes. This is one I have to listen to a few times in a row, as once just isn't enough. I can't think of a song that kicks more ass than this one!

Eddie's solo at the end of this has to be the ultimate in deranged, melodic dexterity, that anyone's ever pulled out of a guitar! And it was probably just off the cuff for him. Set his beer down, roll tape and fuckin out comes this!! Amazing...

:56- 1:43 is pure insanity. 1:29-1:38, that is what cocaine does to your guitar playing. In a good way haha. best part of this solo is the WTF part at 1:29-1:38. I have listened to this song at least 200 times and can't figure out how he does that stuff ( the whammy part is easy, but the 1:29 part is.....wow)

This is my favorite solo of Eds' not because of technicality but because you can hear he probably kept on playing even after the recording was over because he was in mode overdrive when idea's are on fire and you just can't stop.
