Its probably an unpopular view point with Misfits fans, but am I the only one who thinks Danzigs Misfits stuff wasn't that good? I mean Michael Graves just blows him out of the water on every level. I mean I'm aware Danzig was a big part of forming the band but I just don't think he can compare to Graves... Just my opinion of course.

@TheDeathCorparation Danzig was the Singer, no funny business type & had an overly-pronounced vibrato & deep vocals, while Graves was more of an Entertainer, great vocals & a bit of a fun, loosness to him. Both are great, but as far as The Mifits goes...I like Graves better. I prefere Danzig solo over Danzig with The Misfits...but that's just me.

I'd call Danzig era like a horror movie, and Graves is more horror comic book feel you know, it's newer, where as Danzig has an aged feel, not quite antique but not really modern.

I started out only liking the Michael Graves stuff, thinking that the Danzig stuff was terrible and that he sounded like a drunk retard. Then I grew up and realized that while the Graves songs are catchy, they all sound the same and lack the raw energy of the Danzig era. I still don't think Graves is terrible like a lot of hipsters and Danzig purists do, but I definitely think his stuff is more appealing to the mallcore crowd. Plus there's his whole 'conservative punk' bullshit. Ew.
