B has a great grade of hair indeed, but Back then I remember her saying on BET that, being on stage and performing all the time puts a strain on your real hair being under spotlights and putting hot curlers etc in it all the time as prep therefore she got fake hair as a protective of her real hair. That has been stated by most celebs and even joked about how "you can't throw a rock on a red carpet without hitting a woman with a weave" regardless the race.
