The U.S. Open series is a joke. They need to stop trying to seperate themselves from the rest of the tour. Nobody even really understands it. They try to motivate the top players to play a lot of tournaments on the U.S. summer circuit. It does not work!!! The top players just play the 2 summer Masters Series events in Canada and Cincinnatti. They just reward the top 3 players with extra money for their U.S. Open result, if they earned U.S. Open series only ranking points. Continued.
The one with McEnroe interrupting Nadal was alot better (much funnier too). Fed seemed to have trouble acting especially in another commercial he had with McEnroe when I was watching Wimbledon. Still am more of a fan of Fed than Nadal. Sucked how Fed lost to Ivo.
people like you and the rest of youtube to stop glorfiying Federer as such a great champion. Gonzalez, Baghdatis, Phillippousis, a 35 year old Agassi, Soderling as GS final oppenents? Great champion, I mean look at the current top 10 its such a disgrace other than Rafa.
You're a moron. I don't know how you can fault someone for beating who is across from them. That's like saying that if an underdog NBA team makes the finals and gets crushed by the favorite, the champion didn't deserve it. Roger shouldn't have to apologize for good players losing before the finals and then crushing whoever he played.
Sampras didn't go out and just beat Agassi every final, by the way? Todd Martin, Carlos Moya, Cedric Pioline twice, Michael Chang . Come on, mediocre players.
Im not faulting Federer, I am doubting his status you all give him. The fact of the matter is that the competition is mediocre in Federers era, and winning 15 grandslams in 7 years is a whole of a lot harder to do in Sampras's era, where conditions of the courts, balls, technology, and more importantly the quality of competition was on a different level. Your NBA reference is retarded as thats a team sport and completely different to Tennis. Isnt the level in the NBA atm very high anyway?
"Your NBA reference is retarded as thats a team sport and completely different to Tennis."
It's completely legitimate, apply it to whatever sport you want. If a good player doesn't make the finals, how can you fault the best player for beating whoever is there. It's not his fault that he dominated the men's game and people were not good enough to keep up.
Alright clearly youre an idiot. Basketball and Tennis are two different sports and dont have a lot in common, espicially if you compare oppenents, as its a teamsport and a collaborative effort. So im going to simplify it for you to an extent that theyre are two options.
a) Fed seems so much better than the rest (except Nadal) is he really that exceptional and the rest still vry gd (ur opinion)
b) or is he vry good n rst of the field nt that good?
@illogicalman21 I can't believe you actually have the audacity to correct my grammar over youtube; especially considering I abbreviated those misspelled words to fit the comment in one post. Do you always have the propensity to correct people you OCD-degenerate fuck? Get a life or address my claims regarding my Sampras-Federer arguments; oh wait I forgot you can't, you're too busy being a smart-ass when in reality, you are going no where except your parents basement.
So your misuse of the correct form of 'your' was the result of you trying to save space? Please.
Also, I think that considering the amount of time you've spent arguing with people on YouTube, and how upset you've gotten that someone corrected your grammar, that you need to get some perspective.
You know, the kind of perspective you get from going OUTSIDE of your parents' basement.
@illogicalman21 There's no need for you to correct anyone's grammar in the first place to prove a point especially when it comes to words like 'your' and 'you're'; ie. You're an asshole and so is your family. Is that the correct usage? Please let me know in due time! 'The amount of time I've spent arguing with people You Tube' is hardly anything pal as a post for me takes about a few minutes to write.
@illogicalman21 ... Moreover I wasn't upset, if at all I pity the fact that u had the urge to correct me on words as simple as very to prove a point which is irrelevant to the discussion at hand. You've spent so much more time on Youtube than me so I think YOU'RE the one who needs perspective; that is, if you can stop relying on your parents and deviate from your original path of becoming a basement troll.
Okay, you realize that the assumptions you're making about me make no sense at all, right? I'm a graduating senior about to go to college. I just received a shitload of awards from the school. I was voted most likely to become a millionaire by age 30. GTFO with this parents' basement crap.
Anyway, the fact that it takes you a few minutes to write a post is laughable enough, but that what I said bothers you enough that you needed to respond with two posts is even funnier.
@illogicalman21 I'm sorry, is this coming from the guy who has hate comments all over his page? I can see why your only friend is coppercab as you both mutually inclusive aspects about your life; everybody hates you and no one cares about your awards that speculate bullshit. What college are you going to? If you want to compare I'm reading law at KCL, London, about to finish my second year and securing an internship at one of the most prestigious law firms in the world.
Look, I'm sorry I don't take as much pride in my YouTube account as you do. People who take YouTube as seriously as you do need help. I wish you the best of luck with your study of law, and I sincerely hope you resolve your anger management issues.
And by the way, I don't find your posts interesting to read. I'm surprised that someone who studies law is so hopelessly illiterate. To the point that a graduating high school student has to correct their grammar. Sad indeed...
@illogicalman21 Thank you for the wishes my ginger scum. No need to resolve any anger management issues when there are none to be addressed. I thought you don't want us to operate under assumptions and you are doing the very same thing in your post (how contradicting)!. If you still want to call me an 'illiterate' after reading my various works in branches of law and finance, then fair enough.
@illogicalman21 If I may chime in here; if I google you, the first reference that comes up is a website on "Soccer's gay moments" where you seem to be leading a discussion. Needless to say, like here, you seem to be arguing a rather moot point; something highly subjective. Yet you seem to back subjective comments with rather belligerent and unrelated data points (your "awards in high school"). Finally, you correct grammar here but your posts there are riddled with mistakes...
@illogicalman21 By the way, using a full stop after illiterate is grammatically incorrect, the correct punctuation to use is a semicolon so fuck off. Also what will you actually be studying in University? If it's a subject placing an emphasis on grammar and writing literary commentaries then your projected award of becoming a millionaire before 30 is highly unlikely.
Look guys, I honestly couldn't care less about this argument, or what any of you think. The reason that you may have picked up on that, MrLiarspoker, is that I love making people like you guys FREAK OUT.

@illogicalman21 You wrote "My friends and I get a huge kick out of watching you people overreact and get angry whenever someone disagrees with you or does something as trivial as correct your grammar."
Uh ok...so thats what you and your friends do? But a while back you said you had a life...I'm a bit confused, which one is it?
Sorry I don't mean to harp on this issue, but there are significant incoherencies in your claims; therefore I am simply seeking some clarity. Can you not provide this?
@illogicalman21 You mention that you have a life with your friends. Then you mention that you and your friends get a huge kick out of watching people overreact. This is what you consider a life? A bunch of fags congregating infront of youtube and soccer gay sites giggling like 14 year old school girls?
@illogicalman21 Seeing as my posts require knowledge and research, the least I could give the readership is an interesting and factual read. Oh, I could write one post but why not use two posts for emphasis? I can't wait once you become an average/mediocre graduate from your college and then through an epiphany, create a video where you reveal all your hate and depression to the world like your good buddy CC.
To continue, Sampras's competition was a hell of lot harder, with multiple grandslam champions in the top ten itself. And thats the thing right there, theyre are hardly any worthy players who lose before the finals in this generation, other than Rafa. Mind you dominating the way Sampras did (winning 14 GS's) Im sure youll agree with me, was so much tougher to do back when everyone was playing at such a high standard. You cant call Moya and Chang mediocre players, both GS champs, n Top 2 players.
Ok then you can't call Federer's opponents from his time mediocre if they've won a slam. Roddick, Safin, Djoker, Rafa, Gaudio, Ferrero, Agassi regardless of age, Hewitt, Johannason, Kuerten, Costa, Moya, and Sampras at the end of his career. He's beaten all of those guys handly, and again, it's not his fault if they don't make it to the finals when he does nearly every single slam.
Compare that to Sampras opponents If Federer would have played the same game against Andre, Pete, Rafter, Muster, Guga, Stich, Becker, Courier (just to name a few), would he still have won 14 Grand Slams in 6 years? Roddick,Gaudio,Ferrero,Johannson are all oneslam wonders, and didnt achieve the same kind of results if comparing to slam winners of Sampras time. Kuerten,Costa,Moya,Agassi were all at their prime in Petes era, n were wy past their prime when they met ppl like Fed,Hewitt,n Safin!
And I won't disagree that Sampras' time was a tougher generation overall, but come on, there were plenty of good players in this generation that Roger just overshadowed. It's hard for there to be a lot of GS winners to play in the finals when you swallow most of them up. Imagine how many different multiple GS winners there would be if Roger didn't play professional Tennis?
Like i said i disagree to your opiunion that theyre are plenty of good players in this generation. They are all techincally adequate players, but none held a candle to some of the competitors that I listed. Federer dominated, and all credit to him for capitalizing on such a substandard era, and posin that last question is kind of stating the obvious. Its like sying imagine if Tiger Woods didnt play professional golf, or Ronaldo not playin for ManU. Theyre would be other winners, its a known fact
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hes a bloody fag, but if it wouldnt be for him, manU would not have the champions leaguea year ago nor win 2 consecutive premier league championships, shut up if you dont know what youre talking about. Same applies for Messi, if you cant credit Ronaldo as the most dominant in football over the past 2-3 years
You're a disgrace to tennis players and even tennis observers.
'relax dude...i just hate faggots'
That's not something to relax about. You're a disgusting human being. You are also a disgrace to all of Sampras' fans.
Sampras, Laver, Borg, all of them cried at least once when winning Grand Slams. You probably just don't know what it's like since you've never accomplished anything even close to such an accomplishment in your entire pathetic life.
Just as an afterthought; don't lie to us as you can lie to everyone else but yourself. Are you a ginger? This would explain a whole lot for ur belligerent behavior and ur incessant need 2 correct people's grammar just to make urself feel better as a man (as u already have an inherent disadvantage). Instead of diverging completely off topic trying to act intelligent by correctin people's grammar (when they know how 2 spell words like very), why don't u address the claims my ginger degenerate?
Additionally, funny you mention how you have a life...yet you seem to be spending your "life" alternating between soccer gay sites and online gaming forums. There you are again f**ing around on an online gaming site. Google this idiots youtube nickname and you'll se what i mean.
Actually, Sampras has stated that the current top 100 has more depth than during his time, making Fed's ridiculous consistency even more insanely ridiculous.
I actually agree with pistolpete here. You have to see what Sampras' and other generations were able to do as tennis players and compare it to the one-dimensional, boring games of today's players.
Federer dominates because he still has the skills that players of that time had, only improved by modern racket technology.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Trust me Im not undermining Federers achievements in that sense, hes a great champion but in my opinon I will always think if both of them were matched up in the same era, I think Pete would edge it. Going on records, I cant claim otherwise, but what Sampras has achieved under such conditions is remarkable, something that I cant give Federer. Fed might be the best player in his generation but he needs to have Nadals number in GS finals, otherwise it will bug him that Nadal alwys ad the uppa hand
I just don't get what the guy has to do to get people to get off Sampras' pole. Like, Sampras was a great player, and obviously he is one of the GOAT's, but Federer has achieved more in less time, and is still going strong. How can you fault him for dominating the generation, when we don't know the whole story yet.
I just hate when people act like since Federer beat a lot of first time finalists, he isn't even in contention for GOAT.
Well, considering Federer has won his latest confrontations with Nadal, Murray and Djokovic, I don't think he has anything to prove. :-)
And overall, I think the arguement can end with what the players who have experienced both Sampras' and Federer's games first hand have to say. Agassi, Safin, and Hewitt have all expressed how no one compares to how Fed plays. Going even further back to past greats, Laver and McEnroe both called him the GOAT.
It was actually tennis or soccer

hes a bloody fag, but if it wouldnt be for him, manU would not have the champions leaguea year ago nor win 2 consecutive premier league championships, shut up if you dont know what youre talking about. Same applies for Messi, if you cant credit Ronaldo as the most dominant in football over the past 2-3 years

lol...relax dude...i just hate faggots
btw..im a huge sampras fan (Y)
keep it up...there is no GOAT in tennis, and definitely not federer who cant even beat his main rival.

haha im chill dude im just telling you some stuff about Ronaldo. And me too, I agree with you completely
pistolpete58 2 years ago
You're a disgrace to tennis players and even tennis observers.
'relax dude...i just hate faggots'
That's not something to relax about. You're a disgusting human being. You are also a disgrace to all of Sampras' fans.
Sampras, Laver, Borg, all of them cried at least once when winning Grand Slams. You probably just don't know what it's like since you've never accomplished anything even close to such an accomplishment in your entire pathetic life.

clearly u have no life..so y dont u just kill urself. i really doubt anyone would care!!

@zzzzsh
The kind of person who goes on YouTube to proclaim their hatred for 'faggots' is the kind of person that nobody cares about, dude.

@illogicalman21 @illogicalman21

I'm glad you can come up with coherent arguments to support your point.
I can't help it if you make yourself sound like a complete retard with every post that you make.
All I did (hopefully) was make sure that you realize that you are, to all intents and purposes, a bigoted, pathetic excuse for a human being.
P.S.: I have more of a life than you'll ever have or ever will. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I actually agree with pistolpete here. You have to see what Sampras' and other generations were able to do as tennis players and compare it to the one-dimensional, boring games of today's players.
Federer dominates because he still has the skills that players of that time had, only improved by modern racket technology.

Fed might be the best player in his generation but he needs to have Nadals number in GS finals, otherwise it will bug him that Nadal alwys ad the uppa hand
pistolpete58 2 years ago
So what if Federer goes on to win 20 slams?
Or more?
I just don't get what the guy has to do to get people to get off Sampras' pole. Like, Sampras was a great player, and obviously he is one of the GOAT's, but Federer has achieved more in less time, and is still going strong. How can you fault him for dominating the generation, when we don't know the whole story yet.
I just hate when people act like since Federer beat a lot of first time finalists, he isn't even in contention for GOAT.

You can speculate all day cuz it's fun, but at the end of the day all you can do is objectively look at the stats, and they all say one thing.
