The hardware is simply defective or faulty, if you no longer have your warranty the best thing you can do at this point is either try to fix it yourself via instructions on the internet (Easy to find) or buy a refurbished ps3 for 150.. your choice

Wanna know how to fix it flip the back swich off and hold the eject button and flip the swich on don't let your finger come of the eject button untill the fan goes super hard. xbox 360's breaking rate is down to 4% now is a good time to buy, they fixed most of the RROD and the E74 problem, the problem was they didn't sadder the components to the circuit board very well, they actually put effort and resolved the problems

I wouldn't be so sure. The yellow light indicates a general hardware failure much like RROD. There's no telling what's causing it but some internal component is obviously fried.

i found a trick to get the disk back BTW.

Hold the eject button flip the switch on back, keep holding ur eject button, backup fan should kick in and the disc comes out worked for me :)

It happens when you have the PS3 vertically standing, the CPU/GPU eventually loosen because of the heat and gravity. Yellow is general hardware failure though, like RROD.

Could be hard drive errors or over heating, that all may require is time to cool now
