  • I know...

  • why s it a man teaching?

  • Are you serious?

Why can't a man teach gymnastics? Answer me that...

  • cuz some people or parents think that men teaching gymnastics seeing little girls in leotards or somthing is kind of scary lolz idk i heard one of my friends parents say that one time

  • these days there are some women, especially lesbians who get off on girls in leotards also, so we can't just go by what we think of men...

  • because men can't do Rhythmic gymnatiscs.

  • i do rhythmic gymnastics you gay wad dand im a guy you got a problem???

  • maybe recreationally, but there's no such thing as "mens rhythmic gymnastics" at the olympic level.

I'm not saying that men aren't physically capable of doing rythmic gymnastics. I'm just saying they can't because it it dosn't exist.

  • look it up on youtube tyoe in rhythmic gymnastics men stupid youll see it exist and they train with women

  • do you know any rhythmic gymnasts??? like bessonova or kabaeva or kaneava yeah, thought not

  • Comment removed

  • yeah but thats just them bessonova and kabaeva are nice i would know

  • Bessonova seems like a sweet girl. You're right, I shouldn't condem the whole sport just because of a few bitches. I'll probably never do it again myself tho.

  • @Sanchara it is in the Olympics, it just isn't publicized.

  • @Pandamone

I hadn't heared that. to be honest ever since seeing Ruben my opinion of Male RG tottaly changed :D I was wrong :( I'm sorry

  • @Sanchara its ok :) just thought i would let you know. I hadn't heard of Ruben before, just went and looked him up and WOW he is good XD

  • then can u tell me how u gained flexibility ?are u tight again in the morning andhave to to do all over again ?

  • haha no i do not speak russian. I am half inupiaq (eskimo) I can speak inupiaq and i can speak english but i mostly just speak english =) so american accent

  • @figureskater2004

there is a really good thread on the RSG.net forum on home training :D plus taking dance and acro classes can help teach you some of the body tequniqe.

  • I love their legs :D Ahh, I wish I was this flexible! >.>

  • i am that flexible.... i just did that move and did not dislocate my own ass! very funny

  • well, we are all VERY happy for you

  • "I just tried that move at 0:28 and dislocated my own ass.... "

Omg,U3X6785, that sounded extremely funny! LOL

  • I just tried that move at 0:28 and dislocated my own ass....

  • Where was this?

  • wow!! i do artisic gymnastics and yeh yooh have 2 b flexible but not as flexible as that!! wow i dint think tht was even possible never mind doin it nicely!!

  • wow

i could never be that flexible

i mean i can do my right and left splits but i will never be that flexible!

  • isnt that a man training them

  • Thats Kabaeva on the left, isn't it?

  • yeah it is

  • Some one PLEASE tell me.

how the heck do you get that much strength in your legs?! :S

  • do a load of squats, wall sits, and oversplits might help, but i don't really know

  • Ballet six days a week. Pilates or some other similar body conditioning daily for core (ab) strength Plus lots of stretching(If you don't have access to a rhythmic coach then try a yoga class). This will give you the balance of strength and flexibility . Flexibility and core strength are key to gain this level of strength because the muscles work more effeciantly and are less

    likely to be damaged.

  • I remember this, but then I quit. Now I want to go back and work out with my old teammates again.

  • dude thats insane!!!

  • I wouldn't trust your coach.. His is a guy and you know uggghhh

  • MY aunt was 15 when she started and he made it to the olympics by 18 then she injured her back warming up for the ribbon-floor

  • did she do like any gymnastics or ballet before she started RG?

im about to start and im 14

  • RIGHT ON!!!! RG ROCKS im 12!!!!!!!

  • yeah she would have an almost 12-14 hour day and she did ballet every second day no 100% sure if she did do gymnastics but she was going hardcore and i think she misses it but no the long days

  • thats why we all started it when we wore little!

  • Wow! In 3 years to the Olympics!! So inspiring!! How did she do it?? xDD

  • WOW it's very good!!! =) I like it!

  • its awesome...but i still feel abnormanl if i saw it.

  • is 13 a good age to start rhytmic gymnastics even if i am flexible?

  • yes. although it reli depeneds on were you wantr to be and by what age, some rhythmis gymnastic moves take years to accomplish

  • it depends on how hard you train and how flexible you are

  • omg theyre lyk 13 (my age) and theyre awsum..you go girls

  • amazing

  • Does anyone tell me why I have -1 in my comment? Tell me what you disagreed about.

    -Hooby-

  • i think you guys are missing the point. yes, u must be flexible to do this , but more importantly you have to me really strong. thats also how they do their leaps and jumps =)

  • I agree with you.

    -Hooby-

  • i'm a gymnast too but i kinda started quite late, when i was 11 but my coach says i'm born rather flexible so ppl dun believe dat i started so late but d problem is my thighs..they're reli big,i'm d fattest in my class...any body noes any remedies? n my right foot keeps getting injured coz of a weight problem so does anybody noe wat 2 do bout dat?

  • I feel sorry for you really...I don't have any experiences about your problem. But in my opinion, your parents and your coach have the best experiences. Don't feel shy when you ask them. It's for your right foot, too so you don't end up having a big problem in your foot and other parts after recieving many injuries from past. RG needs more patience, RG gymnast. Rememeber that so good luck. =D

    -Hooby-

  • well ,i started too when i was 11 , n guess what i got problem with my weight too , n am the most flexible girl in the skool coz i practice every day n dont 4got the over splits it might heart at the beginning bt after doing it every day u wont feel any kinda pain in ur narmal splits n about ur weight take 8 glass of water every day or more if u could ,,, nice to meet u TC

  • lol..im 11 too..i wanna be a rhtyhmic gymnast..i only can do my left splits but my right splits, needs more practice..when you were born, are you already flexible?or when the age of 3-8,then you started to learn to be flexible?im learning now..without a coach..im learning my selfs..anf thats not easy..im a malaysian^^

  • Yes, when you first born, your felxibility is there but not like anyone's. Some are more flexible and some are less flexible...so when the girls start RG when they're 5, 6 and very young, they can easily bend from their backs but RG's flexibility needs muscles, too! So being naturally flexible isn't enough and being flexible in back only isn't enough, too. Your whole body has to be flexible as well. It depends on your ability, too I mean like how you can push yourself.

  • I advice you to learn RG with a coach.A RG coach can indentify whether you're doing the move right or not because without a RG coach, you can do the moves wrongly and same time, you don't know it's actually "wrong".And if you do it continously, you may end up having muscle pains later. You can take RG classes. Some gymnasts start when they're even 12 or 13. Just work hard. Good luck!

    -Hooby-

  • but..i dont know where to find an RG couch..im staying in Sabah,Malaysia..i dont think there is a class for RG..anyway,thx for the good luck^^i'll work hard..by myself..*cry*

  • I think there are RG classes in Sabah. Ask anyone who knows there are RG classes or search through the Internet. Try. =)

    -Hooby-

  • okk^^i try..

  • And every lesson of RG, show your coach the move which you are having a problem with and she can tell you you're improving or she can help you and give you advices and hints!

    -Hooby-

  • Here's my opinion, RG gymnasts. A move which you can't do, you can first of all ask your coach about it and how it works, then you practice everyday even during lessons...see how long it is possible for you to make the move you can't do. I recommend 5 or 6 minutes for each moce but one by one so you don't recieve serious pain and careful. That's my opinion. Good luck. =)

    -Hooby-

  • Hey Dw Any One Can Be Flexible If U Work Hard Enough Like WHen I Was 7 I Was Always Jelous of my freinds who were sat in splits chatting away i just couldnt bend in any position! but i suppose all that determination just made me want to stretch over and over again just keep trying and you will get there like i love being able to watch tv in front splits and leaning over kneee haha

  • I do rhythmic gymnastics and I have been for 12 years, and I just want to warn everyone that trying to become as flexible as most rhythmis gymnasts without a trainer present to help you do the stretches correctly is extremely dangerous and could lead to permanent damage. If you are serious about becoming this flexible, I highly suggest finding someone who knows what they're doing to help you out so as to help you avoid injury.

  • hey im 14, and i can just do the splits on my right leg. Does anyone know good stretches where i can improve in side splits and straddle?

  • im 13 and i want to be able to hold my leg up in the splits too......i feel so left out

  • lol same here. i dunno, ive tried stretching everyday. its working a little. maybe not alot but its still something.

  • It takes a long time...believe me. I can't do over splits perfectly since July. You need to do it slowly so you don't get hurt even when you grow up so be careful. You can push yourself harder a little. No one is perfect. =)

    -Hooby-

  • The only way to improve your splits is by practicing it. So, you can do the exact same thing that taught you how to do the right side split and so you can practice your left leg. And middle splits, just go down untill you feel the stretch, hold that for a 5 seconds count and come back up. repeats are the key. When you can do the splits you can try oversplits as well

  • you're actually supposed to hold a stretch for 30-45 seconds or it doesn't help you gain flexibility or muscle strength.

  • well i dont know, i learned it this way and my flexibility level went way up.. but what i do is stretchin for 5 seconds, get up, relax a little and then stretch again. So i do lots of repeats which has helped to me

  • yupp you can get flexible like them because i do rhythmic gymnastics and i am almost like them my back is almost like them but my splits its like theirs sooo anyone out there you can be like that too!!!

  • wow I`m a ChEer and Y liked Your woRk!!!!!!!

  • Hey everyone ..

I am 15 years old, can I still get so flexible? Maybe not as flexible as they are but a little similar?

I am at the moment able to do the splits and I have dancing experiences.

  • Sure. You just need to do the right stretches for a few hours a week. Trust me I have been dancing since I was 6 and I am now 12.I am almost like them. BUT You may get taunted out of jealosy by some people

  • omg yehh ppl cn get rele jelous if yuur flexy

  • ye i would love to be flexible like them too! but i don't know what exercises to do without hurting my back (its rather weak)

  • Hi I am a rhythmic gymnast try lying on your stomach and pushing with your hands and push till it streatches

  • probablt not :/ they train for hours and hours a week and its not just stretching

  • It is Kabaeva and Tchachina?? They are beautiful!! :)

  • they dont have any fat :|

    thats not good for them.

but it is cool how they can do that :)

still not fat = not really healthy :S

  • Egh... they're tiny.. they dont have like... any fat It's kinda icky

  • Alina Kabaeva is amazing. So graceful!

  • there legs are so skinny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the one in the jumper is deffinately alina

  • it is kabaeva.

  • THEY CAN DO BALLET!

  • yes Alina is there.

  • how do they hold their legs so high and not get big thighs...

  • I've always wondered the same thing! I think they've spent so much time stretching and reached such a level of flexibility that they don't need much strength to hold their legs up. They sort of come up by themselves.

  • No, that's not really it. But it's not the big muscles in the thing that enable you to hold your leg high, it's some muscles in the hips that are really hard and tough to train. A girl can be as flexible as anything, but if she isn't strong enough she won't be able to hold her leg over 90 degrees without help of the hand.

  • it's not alina, look at her sweater :/

  • what about sweater ??

I asked my coach and she said too that this is Alina :)

  • well, i agree :D* sorry
