  • i hear your breath and your farting nothing else

  • yes, you can adjust the brighness and the dynamic and on/off, i have the AUREA, its so damn nice

  • can you adjust the brighness off the light? It looks too bright in the video.

  • coooooooooool

  • I really dont get these lights? They just seem to really enhance that big block of tv around the screen... Normally when you watch tv you dont notice the tv around it.. With this it just makes it hard to get into your program with all the distractions.

  • Ambilight makes the viewing experience quite enchanting, you really won't be looking at the frames at all. Great for sports (football etc.), action, documentaries... Everything! ;)

  • Just gotta ask though, there isn't really much point in getting an Ambilight TV if you're primarily going to be watching the TV in a bright room is there? I can obviously see that it would be great for films though!

  • it makes it seem as if the video is real, and that its not just a flat tv screen.

    Think of the amusement park theater stuff where something explodes on screen and the room lights up also...like that.

  • its quite good for an older model and there quite cheap now too ^^

  • Yes newer models have improved panels and picture processing with even cheaper prices.

  • I think the Ambilight would annoy me when trying to watch something.

  • i was thinking the same thing, it seems distracting to me but it is an awesome affect for a tv

  • ¬¬

  • I wouldn't stand it.

  • Ambilight is nothing for me anyways.

  • I have been exploring the Phillips Ambilight site, just trying to see what it looked like. And I have sat through slow-loading poncy Flash videos, then just seemingly random flashing lights... and I just wanted to see what it actually did on a TV! So thank you J0nes1 and YouTube for just letting me see what I want! Ambilight in action without the marketing bull.

  • The walls in my room is painted red. Do you think you will still be able to see the lights from the tv since my wall is red or does my wall have to be white for the lights to stand out? What do you think?

    Also do you have put it up againts the wall for the light really show?

  • super sound !

  • i'm with dollhandler...i can't decide either. like, why not light some candles and save yourself the bucks?

  • For roughly the same price as most other LCD televisions, it's the only one that offers any substantially different option(the ambilight). You can always turn it off if you decide you don't like it too. That's how I looked at it.

  • i cant tell if i dig it or not

  • my wall is orange. do you mean it´s better to paint it into white colour ? i wanna buy this great tv,too :-)

  • Probably Ambilight will work best on white background, some colors might look a bit off. I would try with orange before painting the wall if that color suits your room's decor :).

  • yep we got a red wall here

    and every color just turns into a shade of red

    blue -> purple

    yellow -> orange

    green -> red/brown

  • OH man that sucks. I have a red wall too in my room and i really want to get this TV. Do u think u can make a video so i can see what the colors look like?

  • You need to buy a Phillips set with the new 'AmbiWall' feature.
