I enjoyed Sonic Colors for both versions! The mostly-FUNimation voice cast is a good choice, too. As Sonic would say, "This was epic!" I hope the next games are just as funny as Colors! =D

This is a giant f-ing middle finger to people who had Sonic Unleashed for the PS3\360. Why you ask? This game is using the hedhog engine.. It was used only in the Ps3/360 versions of Sonic Unleashed. Sonic Unleashed was also for the Wii. This game is basically a slightly different version of Sonic Unleashed, WITHOUT NIGHT STAGES... So no werehog. This makes me mad, because if have a ps3, and Sonic Unleashed...

Nintendo Power (the most reliable magazine for everything Nintendo) rated this game 9.0 out of 10, the D.S version sadly got 7.5 out of 10. I can't wait to get this game for Wii, I pre-ordered the game and I can't wait!!!!
Sonic takes place on both planet Mobius and Earth. Mobius is where the animals are from, Earth is, well, Earth. Ever since Sonic Adventure they seem to have abandoned Mobius.
@XGiftedGamerX Let me explain, in the American 2D games Sonic's world was called mobius, in the Japanese 2D games it was called Earth, not our Earth of course, the confusion came when the gap between the Japanese and American versions was bridged.
Therefore making 'Mobius' also called Earth in the American version, the only difference is the name.

Sonic X begs the question of wether even the japanese were confused by this, despite the planet being called Earth the entire time in their Sonic games.

On Mobius (Sonics 1-3 + S&N and all pre-Adventure spinnoffs) it's not uncommon for the ground to be checker-patterned, for loops to be a natural geological feature, and for there to be a multitude of animals and foliage never seen on earth. Not to mention there's absolutely no technology or humans except Robotnic and his stuff. On Earth (Sonic Adventure - present day) It's Earth. Absolutely normal.Why would they be the same?
@CSDragon31 Becuase 'on Mobius' There were non-Robotnik cities (starlight zone), official videos and images showed Sonic in cities with humans, cars and the like that wern't affilated with Robotnik, there wern't other humans in the games simply becuase there was just the core-characters at the time.
SA - to present day, there are still loops and fanciful plants and animals, stripy and and checkered ground may not show up as much, but it's more a matter of artistic style.
I realized that that Sonic's arch-nemesis keeps the same voice actor where all the others get replacements. I realized that the voice of Tails would possibly do Amy.
I actually liked the Werehog levels in Unleashed better than the Daytime stages. I guess I just prefer platforming and exploration in comparison to pure speed action.
Really though, the Daytime stages seemed to play themselves sometimes.
But from the looks of Colors (which I have pre-ordered), the stages seem to incorporate high speed action WITH platforming and exploration.
And this makes me excited.
PS. Does anyone else get annoyed when people think that Sonic is JUST about speed?
@5onyBeGood No i like just the speed. Sonics been about speed from the start changing this would be like turning marios games into first-person shooters.
@gamingwonderboy I'm not saying speed isn't important in a Sonic game, in fact Sonic was basically based around the concept of getting through a level as quick as possible. All I am saying is that Sonic with just speed and no platforming basically makes a racing game.
And it just irritates me a bit when people don't realize the platforming elements in the Sonic series is part of what makes them Sonic games.

Besides, the only thing Elise was good for is getting kidnapped, Chris replaced Tails almost entirely, being both an inventor and a little-brother figure,and the moment he showed any character developement he just reverted back to being a freakishly clingy child.
As for Cosmo, the only interesting thing she does is die.
Elise may have been a one time character, but not Chris, or Cosmo.
Elise kept Sonic from dying, that makes her okay in my book. Chris didn't replace Tails at all, Sonic can have two best friends. He was a very lonely kid who wanted comfort from his parents, and Sonic gave him freedom and happiness. Anyone in Chris's position would have done the same thing he did.
Plus he saved Sonic's life twice in Sonic X, That's gives him lots of points.
@pkstarstorm1up I'm not actually fond of the multi-character levels that have been existent since Sonic Adventure 1, but since SA1 and 2 are so popular, I can see why fans of those games would want it.
Also, Sonic X was non-canon with the games, so those characters would either have to be introduced as new characters or a Sonic X based game would have to be produced. I could totally see some form of Sonic X RPG (albeit with better gameplay than Chronicles and with good storytelling).

And, really? I hadn't realized, I always thought the anime was canonically separate from the games, in a similar manner as the comics. I know the stories from Sonic Adventure 1, 2, and parts of Sonic Battle are interpreted through the anime though.
Well I just love the anime so much, and I feel that since the anime was made by Sonic Team while the other shows, and the comics weren't then that makes Sonic X canon. For the adventure parts that didn't have Chris in them origianlly, I think that Sonic Team decided to change them so that the version with Chris in them are the canon versions. Plus the Eggmoon isn't in the later games so it is on Chris's planet, and in Sonic 06 Shadow removes his inhibitor Rings like he first did in Sonic X.

The first thing i have to say is that the world designs looks so beatyful and awesome to play at! second is that the music is wonderful and sweet! third is that those powers are creative and awesome! this is going to be one awesome game! im going to play this for sure!

Sonic takes place on both planet Mobius and Earth. Mobius is where the animals are from, Earth is, well, Earth. Ever since Sonic Adventure they seem to have abandoned Mobius.

@XGiftedGamerX Let me explain, in the American 2D games Sonic's world was called mobius, in the Japanese 2D games it was called Earth, not our Earth of course, the confusion came when the gap between the Japanese and American versions was bridged.
Therefore making 'Mobius' also called Earth in the American version, the only difference is the name.

Sonic X begs the question of wether even the japanese were confused by this, despite the planet being called Earth the entire time in their Sonic games.
Maybe TMS just wanted what ever excuse they could to stuff Chris Thordyke into the mix, that wouldn't surprise me.

I always (Still do) imagined Mobius being somewhat similar to Earth but has only animorphic creatures inhabited in the entire planet (I'd prefer seeing sega make something like this as oppose of cheesy looking humans)

@MissMysterics What on earth makes you say that? They're nothing alike! On Mobius (Sonics 1-3 + S&N and all pre-Adventure spinnoffs) it's not uncommon for the ground to be checker-patterned, for loops to be a natural geological feature, and for there to be a multitude of animals and foliage never seen on earth. Not to mention there's absolutely no technology or humans except Robotnic and his stuff. On Earth (Sonic Adventure - present day) It's Earth. Absolutely normal.Why would they be the same?

@CSDragon31 Becuase 'on Mobius' There were non-Robotnik cities (starlight zone), official videos and images showed Sonic in cities with humans, cars and the like that wern't affilated with Robotnik, there wern't other humans in the games simply becuase there was just the core-characters at the time.
SA - to present day, there are still loops and fanciful plants and animals, stripy and and checkered ground may not show up as much, but it's more a matter of artistic style.

I actually liked the Werehog levels in Unleashed better than the Daytime stages. I guess I just prefer platforming and exploration in comparison to pure speed action.
Really though, the Daytime stages seemed to play themselves sometimes.
But from the looks of Colors (which I have pre-ordered), the stages seem to incorporate high speed action WITH platforming and exploration.
And this makes me excited.
PS. Does anyone else get annoyed when people think that Sonic is JUST about speed?

@gamingwonderboy I'm not saying speed isn't important in a Sonic game, in fact Sonic was basically based around the concept of getting through a level as quick as possible. All I am saying is that Sonic with just speed and no platforming basically makes a racing game.
And it just irritates me a bit when people don't realize the platforming elements in the Sonic series is part of what makes them Sonic games.

Besides, the only thing Elise was good for is getting kidnapped, Chris replaced Tails almost entirely, being both an inventor and a little-brother figure,and the moment he showed any character developement he just reverted back to being a freakishly clingy child.
As for Cosmo, the only interesting thing she does is die.

Elise may have been a one time character, but not Chris, or Cosmo.
Elise kept Sonic from dying, that makes her okay in my book. Chris didn't replace Tails at all, Sonic can have two best friends. He was a very lonely kid who wanted comfort from his parents, and Sonic gave him freedom and happiness. Anyone in Chris's position would have done the same thing he did.
Plus he saved Sonic's life twice in Sonic X, That's gives him lots of points.
Cosmo saved the galaxy and is regenerating.

@pkstarstorm1up I'm not actually fond of the multi-character levels that have been existent since Sonic Adventure 1, but since SA1 and 2 are so popular, I can see why fans of those games would want it.
Also, Sonic X was non-canon with the games, so those characters would either have to be introduced as new characters or a Sonic X based game would have to be produced. I could totally see some form of Sonic X RPG (albeit with better gameplay than Chronicles and with good storytelling).

And, really? I hadn't realized, I always thought the anime was canonically separate from the games, in a similar manner as the comics. I know the stories from Sonic Adventure 1, 2, and parts of Sonic Battle are interpreted through the anime though.

Well I just love the anime so much, and I feel that since the anime was made by Sonic Team while the other shows, and the comics weren't then that makes Sonic X canon. For the adventure parts that didn't have Chris in them origianlly, I think that Sonic Team decided to change them so that the version with Chris in them are the canon versions. Plus the Eggmoon isn't in the later games so it is on Chris's planet, and in Sonic 06 Shadow removes his inhibitor Rings like he first did in Sonic X.
