This is one of my favorite songs. I've always considered Marion Williams' interpretation to be the standard by which others are judged. The barometer. Well, this approaches, even rivals her version; and I never thought it possible. And to think Rev. Fleming was only 21 at the time of this recording. Wow! I had never head his music before this month. Am I glad I "discovered" him!

This reminds me of our old church in the small country city in South Florida of Belle Glade.  Boy I can't stand the piano, just good ole foot stomping and hand clapping for me!!!! Praise God!

I remember the young Rev. Flemming when he was the pastor of Mt. Gilgal Baptist Church in Dry Branch, Georgia in the early 70's. In fact I was a little girl when he came to pastor that church and I believe this recording was done there because I can hear those same voices. Yes it is true he was so powerful he did not need a mic to preach or sing. And if you think he is preaching now, you should have heard him then. Thank you so much for posting this.
