  • Amazing stuff! I am in awe. Great song as well!

  • that was a really difficult pattern! you mastered it very well :)

  • Yea we are working on all round we just need to work on reigning :0

  • Your paint is amazing I have a paint we are working on everything lol.

Who is your paints Dam and Sire?

  • @TheWesternBaby Thanks! Are you working on "everything" as in all-around? It is so much fun to see them progress!

Germ's sire is Zippos Sensation and his dam is Morning Whispers.

  • very very nice performance! impressive trail pattern... :)

  • beautiful performance!

  • they deff didnt skip on the pattern, i have a hard time remembering them when they are so big. its never my horse that acts out its me who forgets :(

  • I would have given it to you just for remembering that pattern!! Wow.

  • great by the way!beautiful horse

  • ive been doing trail for 2 years and last year but there was only 5 people and i usally got 2nd but5 this year im training more so i keep humiliating myself in front of every body and the judge laughed at me!

  • very very nice8D

  • Very nice performace.

  • that was amazing. :) ive been showing for 4 years and am training a horse right now. You guys looked amazing out there. :) GREAT JOB!

  • Was the 13&under pattern the same as 14&over?

  • Yeah, I should have. But the rules at the world show are such: They throw out a high and a low. Therefore, we were both left with 1,2,2. They went to a tie breaker system because of the results. She placed first under that judge and I second. It was unfortunate for me, but I am happy for the girl who won. I never dreamed of doing this well anyway.

  • Thank you very much! Trail is the best! I have been showing for five years now!

  • WOW!! you have inspired me to keep trying!! how did you remember the trail? a great pleasure to watch! I also love the sound track!! could you tell me what song it is and who sings it? Once again great job!! I am only new to trail and western but you make it look like heaps of fun!

  • Thank you very much! Yes, keep trying. Western trail is a lot of fun. Not only because it is a challenge, but because you can never do the same course twice. It is always interesting to practice, and show. If you have any questions, please ask. The song is Until I Say by Rie Fu. (I had to listen to the vid to remember, he he.)

  • do you have any tips on doing trail. my horse does it, just not as good as yours.

  • This may sound cheesy but, practice practice practice. That is the only way you can get better. Make your walk overs slow and rhythmic, trot overs cadenced, and your lope overs smooth. Make sure your horse has its head down. This isn't a race, so do everything slow and relaxed, this includes the back through and gate. Even if you are clean doesn't mean that you are going to win. Make sure your pattern has style. If you need more info, pm me. Good luck!!!

  • beautiful go, it's evident you know what you're doing..you adjust your horse to best go over all the poles instead of just sitting there and hoping it goes well haha. congrats ~

  • Thank you very much!!!!!

  • that was awsome ive done trail but it was at a english western show and i did it in english and i got DQ but we did good and my horseis scared of whtie and everything is white nice job!

  • I agree. I love the all around. It is nice to be knowledgeable in multiple events.

  • Thanks! again. I can't tell you how many times I have forgot to do something in a pattern. Trust me, it is more common than you think. Do you show in anything else besides Eq?

  • Thanks a lot! It took hours of just staring at the pattern and going over and over it on the ground ^_^. I stared at it so long, my eyes went cross, haha.

  • I never really tire of coming here and watching this video. It is a flawless pattern. You did such a great job training him!

  • wow. Thank you so much! That is the nicest thing I have heard. Thank you. Just, thank you!

  • I love trail. I showed a horse for someone a few years ago and did novice youth trail at the congress with him, and ended up with a 6th out of 108. Not bad for my first time there but I really want to go back someday with a horse that I trained. I think it would feel great to do well on a horse I trained myself. I'm sure you get a lot of satisfaction out of it since you've already got some big accomplishments!

  • I really do. It just wouldn't be the same if somebody else trained him. I am happy with all the success Germ and I have had over the years.

  • that's one intense trail coarse!

  • Haha, it really was. The first time I looked at it, I was thinking, "OMG!!!"

  • What an awesome pattern :)! I am sure that you've gotten a lot of this already, but that was a great performance. How long have you had your horse?

  • Thanks! It means a lot! I have had Germ five years now, in May.

  • Your welcome. He looks like a sweetey. Is he a ppl-pleaser naturally or just well-trained (which is not a bad thing)? My paint loves ppl and loves to do things to make us happy. Ok, well, ttyl, lol.

  • WOW--I can not believe the difficult patterns these days. I showed Meadowood Scarlet back in early 90's, was res. world champion 14-18 in trail and number two youth that year (leslie ratz). Been out of business for about ten years--anyway huge applause! Great Job!! Amazing!

  • WOW Congratulations!!!!! I know how hard it is to get this far, kudos to you! I love trail, you obviously do too. To get number two in the nation? Wow, you are very lucky. Thanks for the compliment!

  • now thats a real pattern...i hate the patterns they come up with at fair...lord they suck...very nice job by the way...

  • I know exactly what you mean! I once had this pattern that they "creativly" made with only eight poles. It was horrible! Thanks!

  • Hey I'm looking to get involved with the Paint circuit, however my 3 yr old is breeding stock. I know they don't offer alot for them, but I was wondering if you knew what all they had. Thanks!

  • They mostly offer breeding stock western pleasure, halter, and hunter under saddle. I will warn you though, people only show in those classes at world show. You will get one or two people once in a very great while. I hope this helps, and welcome to the paint circuit!!!

  • I am sorry I have not.

  • I train with Chad Evans. However, I train the horse and just go over for lessons. Haha, thanks for the compliment. I am happy with all the success Germ and I have had!

  • aww, thank you for such a nice compliment!

  • great go!! your horse is positively GORGEOUS!!! and a beautiful mover!!!!! i'm in awe! has murphy watched this?? lol

  • LOL, does giving him pep talks count? Thanks! Germ is without a doubt the love of my life. Murphy is already learning trail and he is really good at it! He is very careful with his feet. I don't get nervous before a class, but this was nerve racking. I can't complain though, Germ was amazing for me. On a side note, the horse leaving the arena as I am waiting to start is the winner ^_^

  • haha! once i gave heidi (Haidas Lynx Royalty) a 'pep' talk and we call it a haidas pep talk....lol. I like his name, germ. thats great that murphy is so careful! haha, i would get nervous if i was showing at a world show but that isnt saying much lol. well i think germ is much prettier... ;)
